At last, soludo finally emerged as the flagbearer of PDP for Governor in Anambra state. Peter obi is a wonderful man anyway. He has implemented a lot of vital projects in Anambra state and i must thank him immensely for that but he has a problem. Enough resources is not getting into Anambra state because obi is an APGA Man while Nigeria is ruled by PDP. Anambra can't survive without the federal government and Anambra is not like Lagos which is independent and strong enough to fetch revenues. So you see, only PDP at the moment can bring smiles unto the faces of Anambranians and Soludo is just the right man for the job. He's tested and trusted! Annie okonkwo another strong contender can't be compared with soludo locally and internationally. For Andy uba, he should just go and sit down and give soludo a chance. We need icons as leaders. Join hands together and lets Vote PROF. Charles Soludo MAKA OGANIRU ANAMBRA KO DIRI ANYI NILE MMA. Ndi Anambra kwennu!

stop making political arguments if you have no clue what to say.

For a State like Edo that has moved from PDP to AC.

Can you provide any proof how monthly allocation of resources from FG to SG has reduced since then?

Or any proof how it has increased since Ohakim left PPA for PDP?

@asha80. You don't know a Bleep about Anambra politics so shut da Bleep up. Only soludo can make things happen. I am an Anambranian and live in Anambra. I perfectly understand the political situation here. I was at the women's development centre at Awka yesterday where Mr. Peter Obi was displaying his stupidity. First of all, he was indirectly insulting soludo saying that Good leadership does not require all the degress in the world but rather attitude and discipline. Secondly he was fooling himself and not ndi Anambra by declaring he wants to build 4000 primary school classrooms with the latest roboform technology. 1000 every year and started to give the president general of each town union of a community 2million naira including a booklet for the plan. A STUPID CAMPAIGN FOR HIS QUEST TO COME BACK FOR A SECOND TERM. Soludo will make a difference! He is the obama of Anambra

The last has not been heard from Andy and his kid brother, the Godfather himself.

The last has not been heard from Annie Okonkwo

The last has not been heard from Emeka Etiaba

The last has not been heard from the abandoned 46 who have no party to runto.

The tickets for APGa,PPA and AC are gone.

Now comes the deluge- sabotage/ subterfuge

I hope PDP will implode to the glory of Anambra

It should be the stepping stone to get PDP out of our lives.

It will be an opportunity for INEC to redeem its image

It should be a sign for all other states to retrieve their patrimony from these wolves.

It should be an opportunity for NIgerians to get their country and sanity back.

ANAMBRARIANS , DO NOT DISSAPPOINT US, SHOW US THE WAY. LEAD US

You are insulting the good people of Anambra by saying the above. There are many potentially good leaders in Anambra. We should desist from the type of laziness that makes us limit our choices to only the rich and famous - especially if those people are tainted in one way or the other . There is now a serious question mark about Soludo's integrity and uprightness. In most civilised nation the rule of thumb is "if in doubt kick it out" . Any objective Nigerian will now have doubts and reservations about Soludo's ethics, loyalty and commitments . The people of Anambra should play safe and reject Soludo rather than run the risk of gaining a kleptomaniac who will open up Anambra's treasury to his buddies and PDP cohorts.

Yes, his exploits as CBN Governor are precisely the reason why he cannot be trusted with Governing a state. In his role as the chief arbiter and watchdog of the banking sector, he failed woefully.

Ijele-igbo:

Give soludo a chance, he will make a difference in Anambra. He is not like all these politicians. He is different!

Different, huh? That explains why his chief backer is none other than Chief Anenih, a man we all know to be a paragon of decency and accountability grin

So you see, only PDP at the moment can bring smiles unto the faces of Anambranians and Soludo is just the right man for the job.

And this is precisely why you're a goat! So you're indirectly saying your state has been cheated of its rightful revenue by the PDP run Federal Government over political differences and your only solution to this injustice is to cosy up to those starving you of development, abi?

Pathetic!

Ijele-igbo:

@asha80. You don't know a Bleep about Anambra politics so shut da Bleep up. Only soludo can make things happen. I am an Anambranian and live in Anambra. I perfectly understand the political situation here.
And your 'understanding' is that the only solution is to kiss PDP's arse, abi?

Ijele-igbo:

I was at the women's development centre at Awka yesterday where Mr. Peter Obi was displaying his stupidity. First of all, he was indirectly insulting soludo saying that Good leadership does not require all the degress in the world but rather attitude and discipline.

And how exactly does that qualify as 'stupid'? Hasn't experience of Nigerian matters showed you that that is absolutely correct?
President and Vice are university lecturers with PhDs and yet both are ineffectual. Education minister Sam Egwu has university degrees and a PhD. Borishade is a Prof and he's one of the worst ever to hold a leadership position in Nigeria.
So i think you're the stupid one, mate.

Ijele-igbo:

Secondly he was fooling himself and not ndi Anambra by declaring he wants to build 4000 primary school classrooms with the latest roboform technology. 1000 every year and started to give the president general of each town union of a community 2million naira including a booklet for the plan. A STUPID CAMPAIGN FOR HIS QUEST TO COME BACK FOR A SECOND TERM.

And that's any less believable than Soludo's promise to 'turn Anambra into Dubai'?
By the time he's finished paying off his PDP paymasters and puppeteers, how much will be left for development in the state?

I dont know, but you don't come across as someone who really makes attempts to be objective when discussing topical issues. I quite did not see the need for that tirade at Asha.
You have a point, however invalid it might appear to some, i believe you have a point, but deliver it with a sense of decorum and people would take you serious dude!

Anyway, personally i believe Soludo has attracted so much wrong publicity, so much political rigmaroling and meandering that his selection doesnt seem to appeal anymore to me.

Anambra has the highest concentration of entrepreneurs in Nigeria.
Anambra has some of the most educated men in Nigeria.
Anambra has the highest number of young millionaires in Nigeria.

Tell me: Why wont they continually have big problems? U know how difficult it is to rule the educated and the rich. You must be extra good to impress them
Re: Prof. Charles Soludo-the Real Deal For Anambra by Nobody: 9:04pm On Oct 17, 2009
Folks don't get it

A politician is only as powerful as he is connected to the powers that be or as popular as he is amongst the people.

The Ubah brothers where troublesome while  OBJ was in power. OBJ is no longer in power and Yar'adua is not necessarily keen on them, they are not popular amongst the people either.

So where exactly does the fear of Ubah brothers come from?

Ribadu locked up IBB's son, IBB did not do jack because he was not central to the scheme of things at the time. OBJ's daughter was arrested just within two years of OBJ leaving power, so where does the whole noise about the Ubah brothers come from?

Andy and Chris Ubah are touts who should have no say in a state that has produced great men like Odimegwu Ojukwu, Nnamdi Azikiwe, Nwafor Orizu, Onoh, Chuba Okadigbo and the Mbanefos of this world.

The whole noise about the Ubah brothers is a myth and it will come to and end if someone as connected as soludo is Governor. They will be locked up if they mess up. Its that simple.

@ijele-anambra,
it is time you guys seperate anambra from the whole igbos. why will ur type take such name as ijele igbo? things like u has rubbished the value we are supposed to haveas igbos.
even at the head bridge where u sell goats, your union leaders are elected and not selected.
if soludo thinks he has what it takes to rule anambra state, he shld let the masses decide.
the same slowpoke that imposed yar adua on nigerians is here to impose soludo on anambra people and a human being with goat brain like u is here to celebrate.
watch urself as u turn to a goat. u are been used as a domestic animal and u are here rejoicing.
are u not tired of been a slave in ur father's house? when do u think u will be due to have a say in who rules ur state? do u know what it means for someone to deny u ur right to vote and be voted for?
my most irritating feeling is whenever i remember that the number of goats a trader displays at head bridge onistha or number of containers an importer has on the high sea have become the condition for who our spokepersons are. the igbos must come up with a new way forward. we must learn to be ourselves no matter what they say.
for u ijele anambra, stop using the name of igbos for ur bias situations.
