SirWere:'...engineered by the allies'? They had to pay for what the damages they caused during the war and don't forget the role Neville Chamberlain played. The concept of appeasement and Hitler went ahead with his stubbornness. He mistook the silent response by the allied nations for folly. |

Gaara101:No, they were much more responsible than that. The treaty of Versailles practically made the German broke, hungry and without any iota of honor. The treaty was way too stupidly harsh. Accept that you started the war. Pay 6.6 million pounds even though you're friggin broke. No permission to have a decent army. It was really a no-brainer that germans would listen and gladly embrace a man who claims he will "liberate" them.... And hitler did.... |

SirWere:I will agree with you on that aspect. They were very harsh on the Germans but I still think they deserved some of that harsh punishments. And by the way Neville Chamberlain tried appeasement. He did not want to attack for fear that it would cause another war. But Hitler in his stubbornness refused to see that. First, he started recuperating the army, then he took the Sudetenland region of Czechoslovakia. He went to Austria and cunningly took over, yet he was not attacked. What does that tell you? He was later warned not to step foot on Poland, he still decided to do it. He just seemed like a bomb that was waiting to go off. His greed caused it. |

Gaara101:Yes, he had personal flaws and was a greedy egomaniac.... But it's the domino effect. Once he took over Czech, he had effectively seen himself as the liberator of the Aryans who are the purest of all races. Were the Mofo a bit more practical, I still believe he would have won the war. |

SirWere:I agree though but if he was objective in his thinking, there would have been no war at all. |

Gaara101:Really?? How then would you have proposed Germany to rebuild their country without that war It was inevitable, in my opinion. |

Wiztonero:I couldn't agree more. I find it funny that the two men who set out for the domination of Europe and were being actually successful in their conquests both failed in taking Russia. Fear the North.... |

SirWere:Suddenly, you are acting like Germany did not do things to deserve that. I used to think about it in that way before till I read about it somewhere and the writer allowed you view it in a different perspective. How the French suffered and how they wanted justice. I will post later today so you can hold both views and make a decision. |

SirWere:Bro, don't be pissed. I didn't foergt to include the link, its just that I can't find the link again. I will still search for it though. I stand my ground on the issue that Germany did deserve that treatment. I'm human enough to admit it was a little to harsh but they had to take responsibility for their actions. Their inability to do so actually caused WWII and Hitler's greed, but like you know, that's an entirely different story. |

Gaara101:Agan I beg to differ. The Germans were not the main cause of WWI; nor were they the only ones with ambitions during WWI. Infact, the European powers gladly welcomed WWI thinking it would be a short and swift war with quick success. Besides, Germany fought the war on Two fronts..... France and Russia and they almost, ALMOST, succeeded with their Schieffien plan to capture and conquer France and then turn to Russia. Infact, in the internal political grappling events leading to WWI; germany was virtually non culpable. If we want to blame germany for being greedy, then we must, in equal fashion, blame Britain, France, Russia and Austria in the same vein. 1 Like |
