Desperation for husband: Lady falls victim to ritualists, loses life

A 20-year-old, Miss Funmilayo Mojeed, has reportedly lost her life in desperation to find a husband of her choice. Her desperation, Sunday Tribune gathered, was enhanced by the catalogue of disappointments she had with men who, after series of amorous relationship, disappeared into thin air.

Funmilayo, a trader who lived at Bere Area of Ibadan, it was gathered, had approached two ritualists who promised to put smiles on her face. The ritualists were alleged to have instructed Funmilayo to donate her finger nails, pubic and armpit hair for the medicine.

She initially declined and offered to pay money and other items as alternative to those things the ritualists asked for but her offer was rejected.

Sunday Tribune investigation revealed that one of the riutualist equally told the girl he would need to have sex with her immediately the medicine had been applied on her as a seal for efficacy and she obliged.

After the dastardly deal, the girl kept a sealed lip over the matter. She refused to divulge it even to her parents. After taking the medicine, the ritualists instructed her to come regularly to their house for check-up. However, each time Funmilayo visited them, the ritualist had sex with her unknowing to the girl that the ritualists had ulterior motive which was to bring them fortune.

Not quite long, Funmilayo became sick and gradually, she emaciated until she was unable to walk properly. The elder sister to Funmilayo, Mrs. Yetunde Kareem, who noticed her condition said on interrogation, Funmilayo confessed what transpired between her and the ritualists.

The elder sister, Sunday Tribune gathered, was taken to the house of the ritualists by Funmilayo to beg them so that Funmilayo could be alright. It was to no avail as the men denied having any deal with the girl.

The elder sister therefore reported the matter at the Mokola Police Station and the two ritualists were arrested. The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Olabisi Okuwobi confirmed the incident, saying Funmilayo had died and her corpse deposited at the State Hospital, Adeoyo.

A 20 years old She is so freaking young to be looking for a husband.

If you're well educated, yes but i think she's a lil backward in that regard.Also back in the old days, someone her age was considered "past her prime" at age 20 (it was usually between 12-15 years).
