Have you ever completely lost respect for a friend because of something they said or did? What happened?

I remember I last month I kicked a friend out of my life because he said he intended to remain ‘childish’ all his life.
This fellow, in his thirties, goes around different social media forums cussing out people’s parents. When I advised him to quit his antics, especially as his mates had pre-teen kids, the aforementioned is the response I got.

Another friend told me men were not designed to be faithful to women, so he could never be faithful.

So guys, tell us something that friend or partner did that made you completely lose respect for them.

I don't keep many friends, I have not had any reason to do away with the very few I have

Hell yeah, and I usually hold on to friendships especially woman friends. I have two very female friends that have been with me through loss, grief, jobs, and sickness; and I for them. Barbara was a former tenant who I formed a close friendship—along with her family (husband and two boys). Barbara and I did many activities together, clubbing, hanging out at each others apartments. I lost contact when she and her family moved out. She popped back into my life after an absence of 20+ years. We because close friends again; she would help me with errands; drive me places, we hung out again. I don’t speak to her now; and it has been 4 years. Her whole family were running a con on me, and I did not like their lifestyle (utilities were often turned off and she struggled to pay a mortgage and car note). Plus, Barbara was a psycho—I knew it then, but it had gotten worse (lol). I changed my residence with letting them know. It is better to cut one's losses than to stay in a toxic relationship. Once I finally cut the ties, I don't look back.

yes. mine was a big brother who is a graduate of FUTO. i used to hold him with high esteem as a potential millionaire. my disappointment came when i was done with project, travelled home but was met with the news that he had sold a big Iroko tree which belonged to the community. i was really disappointed.

the community is now holding him ransom

I don't think I have any stories to share. Most of the people I eventually cut off never meant much to me. When I hold you dear I always give you several chances, it's my weakness undecided and also because I'd expect you to do same because I'm far from perfect.

Yes, I just ended a friendship...she is one self centered lady, wants you to dismiss your problems to accommodate hers. Smh, glad she is out.

Growing up we were a tight group in church and got to be like blood brothers after going on a two week camp in a remote area. Fast forward... we went our separate ways... most relocated... had various careers but the bond was always there. One owned a car dealership.... another became head of an international organisation and sourced a new car for the organisation from the dealer. The dealer took down payment for the car and delivery fees.... never delivered the car nor refunded the deposit. Within a year... we learned the dealership was closed and he was on the run.... on the run from those who he had done the same and were looking for refund in cash or blood. He is on his own.
