So the country's budget was increased from around N4trn to N6trn and citizens felt nothing but excruciating pain and hardship, how much of this year's budget was implemented? Do we have a deficit? No one is asking, and baba has presented another N7trn for nxt yr, N7trn for more globe trotting and sharing amongst his cabals, who knows he might even be going to Mars or Jupiter next year.

Well, this FG has been a catalyst for failure since May 2015. Both private & public sector failure.

QED. simple, short, factual and straight to the point. someone needs to examine the heads of our current leaders. please compare their budget to previous once, and see why I totally agree with your apt submission.

In other words, the VP is saying that they can't make impact in their third year in office. That's rather unfortunate. What happened to all the noise about budget of change? Is there any need for them to approve 7trillion with huge debt if it will have no impact? Why do people talk like this sef.

You might as well be talking to a stone than this current FG. shocked

Lol.

well, what choice do we have really?

if we allow the pro-PMB crowd to ride roughshod over Nigerians, this nation is doomed, because they would just keep praising blindly - bad policies & all.

by collective effort, we can stir our leaders on the right path, we cannot afford this nation to be set back by another 30-40 years...

PMB might be the dullest & most unprepared president Nigeria has ever had, but for the sake of this nation's future, we just have to TRY to do our bit so that by the time he leaves, the setback won't have become to big to surmount.

this government is so clueless......i used to think that nobody surpassed the level of clueless of jonathan's government.....but here i am, totally disappointed.....only God can save us now......7.2 trillion naira will not make any impact and yet they claim to run a prudent government......so where is the money going?

When this year's budget was presented personally by PMB, the hope was so high and we all called it BUDGET OF CHANGE. I am sorry, we haven't seen the Change yet, perhaps it has been a budget of negative change. 7trillion or 10trillion, I think the major problem of this administration has been implementation. Nothing has changed, except for the worse.
The last budget was completely stupid and that was the worst budget presentation so far in the history of Nigeria and from all indications this government seems to have even gone higher . we raised this issues then when the last budget was presented but typically of Nigerians ,they called us wailers.

we keep trying...

with every disappointment, we learn a new lesson.

contrary to what a lot of people want us to believe, we have made progress in ALL facets of life in Nigeria in the past 16 years.

the damage done to Nigeria since the 70s was deep & our structure doesn't allow for a rapid redress, but we will get there...

with perseverance, prayers, purpose & planning.

even as bad as this regime is, when its time is over, we would have learnt a thing or two - positives & negatives.

the VP is being factual. but it is not enough to commission investments without sustaining the socioeconomic environment to ensure the business prospers (a la Erisco).

& this has been the case since the 80s & which is why its silly to heap all blame on the immediate past administration.

this regime should first of all, get its governance issues right. its fighting loosing battles on too many fronts.

its priority right now should be to bring the nation together & harness its potentials in a fair, humane & productive manner.

How is he right? Do u really think we must have an over bloated budget before any impact, have you asked how much implementation was done with the 2016 budget, these things are not always all about money but plan, you could have a 20 trillion budget and still not achieve anything with it if you dont know what you are doing that is the real case of this govt

just to clarify...

the VP is right in the sense that Nigeria needs a lot more than N7t to get us back to even just where we were 2 years ago.

on the 2016 budget... yes there were issues with implementation, but that doesn't mean we don't need a budget...

on the issue of this government not knowing what it's doing, again, I agree, but its like saying that 'because the education system in Nigeria is flawed, then I won't send my child to school' (when I can't afford to send him out of the country too).

we, the citizens just have to also put in more effort & be vigilant.

they stopped the planned increase of data because Nigerians were UNITED in condemning it... together, we can push them in the right direction.

He cant be right if his govt has no idea of funds managing and execution, do you know this govt has spent more capex than any nigerian govt in history yet we are sinking, a purposeful govt would do better even with less spending, go and study their mtef framework its a total waste of time, you cant give what you dony have and moreover lets note most challenges this govt are facing are self inflicted, their policies are outdated and terrible for an economy like ours.

Goddamn!! We've got fools for leaders.

A fifth of that budget is enough to raise the standard of education across the country very close to the standard in developed nations.

$20-50 mil alone will build you a standard materials characterization institute along with clean rooms and related labs.

Fucking useless leaders.

thing is, its not about the amount budgeted but the truth is that even if you give the government 50trillion naira they'll still not do anything tangible with it. 6trillion has gone down the drain but there is not even one kilometre of road to show for it. Buhari is a mess that has made nigeria messier
