Nice one but allow the OP flex ....he alone knows what the present and future holds for him. How he choses to manage it is his own biz. grin

zicoraads:

Pictures or...you know the rest wink

But the guy who quoted who you quoted said the right thing. Sell the car and buy a Keke napep or school bus for school shuttles. I don't know about your income. But when I was in school, my Dad took care of mine a lot. Suddenly, he had issues at work and things became so difficult. I had so many regrets. So if you would listen, that car will only drain you more now. But getting the other two would bring you more income. And then in the next few years, who knows, you might have your own "Big Joe Motors".

Think bro, think big wink

GUY YOU DO NOT KNOW HOW TO ASK QUESTION OOOOOO

I UNDERSTOOD YOU AND GAVE YOU ANSWERS THAT WILL MAKE YOU EDIT YOUR QUESTION....

DO MECHANICS IN EVERY STATE CHARGE D SAME COST FOR CAR REPAIRS.... ARE CAR DAMAGES EVER EXACTLY THE SAME? THEN WHAT R U RANTING ABOUT... EVEN FUEL COST DIFFERS ACCROSS STATES.... YOU SHOULD LIMIT IT TO YOUR CAMPUS AND STATE... THEN YOU WILL GET SPECIFIC ANSWERS...
OPEN YOUR MIND BROS... NAIRALAND IS VIEWED INTERNATIONALLY... SO YOUR PURPOSE FOR GETTING FIRST PAGE IS WORTHLESS. ALL YOU NEED IS TO ASK THE RIGHT QUESTION AND GET THE RIGHT ANSWERS N CLOSE THE THREAD

I HAVE NOT VISITED MECHANIC IN 6-7 MONTHS.... BUT THATS COS I DRIVE ON CAMPUS.. AND NO ACCIDENTS OCCUR HERE.... AND ALL D ROADS ARE TOO SMOOTH. IF I ANSWER YOU BASED ON MY EXPERIENCE... I WILL NOT HELP COS YOU ARE IN A DIFFERENT CAMPUS AND PLACE.... WE HAVE DUDES HERE THAT WAX THEIR CARS EVERY WEEK... so you see you need to change your question and narrow your scope o
IF IT IS TRULY ANSWERS U SEEK AND NOT FIRST PAGE FAME.

SERVICING HERE IS DIFFERENT... SOME SERVICE YOUR CAR BUT TWEAK IT SO SOMETHING WILL GO BAD IN D NEAREST FUTURE WHILE SOME SERVICE IT SO GOOD THAT IT IS LIKE FACTORY SETTINGS BUT THE COST WILL HANG YOUR NEXT EVEN IF YOUR INCOME IS IN 6 DIGITS COS THEY USE COMPUTER AIDED DEVICES.

dude seriously. you are taking it off point. a simple answer is something like this:
i use a certain type of car (say toyota camry 2020)
cost of fuel is 10000 per month over x miles on a daily basis
servicing every 3 months cost 10000
miscellaneous is 5 to 10k bimonthly.

you really dont need to say all this epistle. looks to me like you dont understand the question

Keep like 10k for fuel & between 1k-4k for mechanics depending on the state of your road because visiting mechanics is directly proportional to how healthy your car is and the condition on the road which you drive. It's possible not even visiting mechanic at the end of the month, so just keep minimum of 10k

this is not front page worthy

GUY I USE A LEXUS RX350 AND CAMRY IN UNIBEN AND AM COOL WITH IT. WE ARE NOT HAVING THE SAME MEANS OF INCOME SO MAINTENANCE IS NOT EVEN TO BE DISCUSSES, SO DO NOT ASK HOW PEOPLE MAINTAIN THEIR CARS IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE SAME DAILY OR MONTHLY EARNINGS WITH THEM.... IN MY OWN LITTLE WORDS I FEEL TOYOTA N NISSAN ARE BEST BRANDS DUE TO MECHANICS AVAILABILITY.... if u buy luxuriously rare cars then you are on a time bomb... cos every small issue will mean to sell off the car. SO DRIVE YOUR CAR ACCORDING TO YOUR POCKET. ITS SIMPLE AND PEACEFUL

Triple, I need you honest opinion on an important issue I am currently researching about. It's basically about student financial productivity. If you'll spare me a little time, you will not only be doing current students a favour, but the future ones as well.

Basically, I need your input in my next book which promotes entrepreneurship among students. I'm done writing it but there's a chapter where I want to include quotes/opinions from graduates or current students that are involved in entrepreneurship.

So, if you don't mind :
1. Do/did you make money in school as a student?
2. Do you endorse student entrepreneurship?
3. What solid advice do you have for students as it regards their financial future?
4. What are/were your biggest gains for engaging in entrepreneurial activities as a student (If you did)

Thanks. The readers will be grateful.

1. Do/did you make money in school as a student?
yes i started business on campus in uniben ugbowo and in the first year i was making between 3k - 5k daily and now its 7-10k daily.
2. Do you endorse student entrepreneurship?
YES i even started taking free seminars to teach my co-students on how to survive the STRESS on our campus doing online investments n jobs and getting paid in their naija accounts
3. What solid advice do you have for students as it regards their financial future?
my advice all through my days from 100 level till this final year has always been- EARN A FEE FROM WHATEVER YOU CAN DO FOR F.R.E.E
4. What are/were your biggest gains for engaging in entrepreneurial activities as a student (If you did) ...
Well, the gains was, as a shy dude...
i didnt need to overcome the shyness, cos if you got the right product then people wont wait for you to come to them, they will be the ones rushing to you... so for me:
I got the girl of my dreams,
a great 1st car while in school,
i had favor from lecturers cos no one will shun someone who helps them make extra bucks
I was made a leader in every organization i joined even in fellowships till now
and now am working on being a lecturer
...these and many more are my gains from being able to research n apply what many didnt think was possible online as a student entrepreneur

I THINK ITS ALL ABOUT THE MINDSET OF A JAMBITE... i had all these things planned while writing Jamb so that i do not come back to the same BORING house i left off from... so that was my major PUSH.
hope you are happy... that's all
