Please each time i try to download from playstore..the file keeps downloading till eternity
..how do i correct this pls?

What's the make and model of your device?Have you cleared the cache of your device? Go to app settings fro your phone settings, select Google playstore and clear cache and app data. If all these fails and you're still unable to update your apps, do a system update.

I haven't updated..btw are you talking about resetting or updating the version?

I guess it's the network, my phones does that as well but that's with Etisalat, but with my MTN, it can download, can u normally open your browser,instagram with your network?

Now follow these steps!
1.Setting>apps>All>select Google Play Store >Force stop>clear cache>clear data

Go check for software update on your phone... It's a gionee mini series issue... My m3mini did such for so long until I did an OTA update.... Hope your phone ain't rooted sha to avoid stories that touch

Once you've updated the phone, it's supposed to restart automatically. If it doesn't, switch off your phone and switch it back on. The updated version will install upon restart

No unroot option can fully unroot a rooted phone to be eligible for updating via OTA..

My advice is to flash your stock rom using sp flash tools then do an an OTA update to fix the downloading issue if gionee pushed it to u

Update the ota ,if it doesn't resolve ,factory reset if doesn't then YOU AV FLASH IT sorry to say I had similar issue, it's a gionee thing. Had same issue same model of phone but it's over now

I hp u did not restrict background data, if yes, disabled it.

pls how did you solve urs in particular?I've tried updating it but I get this /system/bin/install-update.sh not correct.... Update.zip is not correct

Since you are getting that update error your os has been corrupted there's nothing u can do to bring ur phone back to normal I had similar experience

2.FLASH D STOCK ROM but make sure u back up ur files and folders
3.repeat d process I wrote earlier
