My First Testimony Of The Year. by Fraih(f): 5:01pm On Jan 01, 2017

My first testimony of the year!

We Closed from church exactly 12:30a.m, I located my people, then we started Moving. Of course, we preferred to joyfully enjoy the late night and morning stroll, so we didn't bother going to church in the car.

We have trekked halfway, and got to a point where we would use a torch and then I suddenly remembered that I didn't pick my phone from the chair slab where I dropped it. In less than a second, I unconsciously handed my bag to my sister and started running the way I hadn't in 7months.
As I ran, my heart was simultaneously pounding and sending a particular message repeatedly to my medulla oblongata, which is 77k!, 77k!, 77k!.
As I entered the church premises, I roughly meandered through the different people showing happiness for the gift of the new year, hugging and shaking hands, and the pounding increased. I thought in a few seconds as I entered the church building reaching for the seat I was.. "It is surely going to be a beautiful year for the one who would be using my 23day old 6020mAh Gionee phone". My look became straight, I could punch anyone who come smiling around me that minute.

I wouldn't be able to describe in words how much calm my spirit received when I raised my head and saw my phone lying happily, I was like 'Happy New Year People!!!'. The smile was indeed uncontrollable.

It was right there I said 'God must have put a veil across everyone's eyes, a new gold coloured phone lying without an owner on a noticeable part of the chair for 15minutes...No! Everyone must be a saint already'

It would have been a beautiful year starting on another note, but rather, on a more Grateful note today.

Your first testimony of the year, Thank God you're alive, then any other material thing can follow.

You were just lucky, or the thieves in church gave their life to Christ. grin

grin grin grin grin grin. Thank your God for His kindness. I was laughing aloud because I once found myself in your shoes a I think my story is even longer than yours. 2 days to my birthday in March 2016, I travelled to abuja to see a client, lodged in a hotel in a calm area of utako district. One beautiful evening, I went on sightseeing of abuja. Eventually, I found myself in a garden after Hadiza plaza in maitama, as if you're going towards ministers' hill, called Eden Garden. After I com jolificate myself with suya and chill stuffs finish, I dashed out of the valley to the other side, picked a cab straight back to utako. I paid the guy off and dashed out of the cab meanwhile, my blackberry passport, silver edition I just bought barely 2 months earlier had slipped off my pocket. As soon as I got to the hotel room, I searched my pocket, I searched again and my head became light, all of a sudden grin. I shook my body to be sure it wasn't a dream. I got back to where I discharged the taxi in less than 10 seconds. People rushed out to look at me because the speed with which I rushed out of the hotel building was frightening. In short, I called the phone and the guy said he just picked it from the back seat and he was wondering because he had not picked anybody after he dropped me off because he had no fuel, so amazing! He said he was heading to nnpc wuse, to queue for fuel and I should not worry, that he would return my phone. I didn't believe him because that's the normal tricks a phone thief would always play until the phone is switched off and you won't hear from him again. I was just praying that God should touch his heart so he could fulfil his promise. I kept calling. At some point, he stopped picking and I said to myself, mo gbe ooooo!!! Somebody asked me...sir, pls which tribe does the guy come from, I said he said his name is xyz so i wouldn't know which tribe bears that name. He said haaaaaaa, you would never see that phone again. In short, I resumed calling him after I paused for for while. He said I should come to nnpc wuse 2, if I couldn't wait for him any longer because the queue was long. I quickly picked a cab to meet him there. I went with somebody who could help me with his phone on which I could reach my phone he was with. On getting there, lo and behold, I met this guy on queue, waiting for his turn. I embraced him, gave him 3k, I went back in excitement and gave him 2k more, making 5k. I prayed for him and promised to assist him with something. He's ond holder. He said he decided not to further because there was no money hence, the need to come to abuja to hustle. He said he would never steal what doesn't belong to him, wow! I never knew such people still existed in Nigeria. On getting back to the hotel, I was so happy. I was just buying suya for everyone as if I won lottery. So, I know how to feels to be in such a situation girl

Haaaa! I guess I was lucky because I had lost 2 phones before in lagos and never got it back, not as expensive as the BlackBerry though. One sonny Ericsson ( quick share) and a nokia...i've forgotten the model sha, it's a long time now. The guy stole the Sony Ericsson from my pocket in a pub. Then I was a resher, still hustling...I just got a job that time so, I bought the phone out of my second salary. He first asked me to come to Ikeja under bridge. I got there but couldn't find him. I called again and said he had left the place. He asked me to come to mile two....I Said ok, not knowing he was tricking me. By the time I called again, he had switched it off. Imagine

Re: My First Testimony Of The Year. by firstking01(m): 7:14pm On Jan 01, 2017
Smh, nigerians don't really know what testimony is...most times out of our carelessness we make God look like a liar or like he doesn't answer prayers...church was on you were busy nairalanding and whatsapping, if one of those werey boys who goes to church for just going sake had stolen the phone you'd still come here and create a thread abusing church members of how they are thieves...as for me this is NO testimony.

Now, I will reply you duely.

1. You can't even track me on whatsapp neither will you see me roaming around on nairaland, so your point is invalid.
2. You should go through my threads, I don't create 'silly' threads. You can't read @bolded from me.
3. Who has made God look like a liar here? I think it's you who don't naturally have this 'kind of heart'.
4. Your definition of testimony might be 'saving from an accident, or deliverance from an evil spirit', I think we should all be grateful for little things, so you don't tell me what I should be grateful for and not.
5. You obviously don't have an idea of what losing that kind of phone can mean.

And...bye!

A church that was supposed to be a holy place,a place of safety has turned to a place where one's heart is not at rest over forgetting things like mobile gadgets.

May God help this end time Christianity
