Java works on Samsung, just that you have to download it directly from the internet, if you get via bluetooth it would not be recognised by the phone. But if you have the usb cable there are ways of installing java apps with your pc but it varies according to phone models. I use a samsung u900(soul) and have lots of app on it

Well, as far as my SGH-D880 is concerned I dont have problem browsing with it- all wap sites. I have downloaded opera mini and am using it as a modem for Zain internet connection on my laptop. I am not doubting the capability of Nokia, but for now my Samsung is  doing splendid. Especially in the three features of phone I find invaluable- dual sim, text messaging and browsing.
The only problem I have with my SGH-D880 is that I cant access the video clips saved on my memory card. Any help towards that will be highly appreciated.

Actually dere iz a way to install on samsung without having to download on d web. I just went tru sum 3wks of researching for my friend who had a p520 touch screen (Giorgio Armani), it wasnt EZ, but i came across sum hope 4 u unfortunate guyz, most of these phones need a particular code for them to recognise or accept jar/jad files, read dese posts if ur unclear or need a starting point, it gives u a lot of info, like what category ur own samsung falls under (like how nokia has symbian v1, v2, v3, etc).

at least av gotten solibay and sum oda games installed successfully!

@everfrank i think it depends on d type of format of video d phone can accept.it plays mainly 3gp, i dnt think it plays mp4

Ha jchi, na wah oh. I gave u a bone, and u now did ur own and kept it to urself. u suppose give feedback especially on which fone ur using d code on. U didnt even bother 2 thank me sef, anyway FYI, dat code doesnt work on all the samsungs, d codes are dependent on the processor and OS of the fone, give ur feedback so odas will follow after all that 's why this thread was started for in the first place (sum ppl pay by the kilobyte 2 visit here y'know, make the way easier 4 odas).
