Dangote aims over 100,000 jobs through rice out-grower establishment in Sokoto

As part of measure to channel contribution towards Nigerian economic growth in face of recession, the Dangote Rice, a subsidiary of Dangote Group, has disclosed that no fewer than 100, 000 jobs would be available for Sokoto State rice farmers once its flag off an announced 25,000 hectares of rice out-grower designed for the state, during the week.

Specifically, scheme is aimed to provide voluminous employment opportunities for the rural communities inhabitants and as well boost state’s Gross Domestic Product.

The President, Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, disclosed that the company would on Wednesday, flag off the proposed program with a pilot project of 500 hectares at Gonroyo dam, in Goronyo community, a second largest area in the country, after Kainji.
