So lately I've been indulgimg myself on Nigerian issues. And I've come to see that the sleeping beast known as tribalism has been awakened in Nigeria. Ofcourse we can say the IPOB movements served as the catalyst but I won't play the blame game for now.

I formerly considered myself as a "detribalised Nigerian" but as of lately I can barely consider myself Nigerian.

I don't want to talk much but this message is meant to my edo people. For some weird reason there's always this bad connotation on us whenever our name is mentioned. I've browsed threads here and on other places about edo people, and the comments from others are usually"they are wicked people!" "They are juju people", "they are prostitutes" and so on. What I find perculiar is that the same people saying this, whether Igbo or Yoruba etc. Can they tell me they have no wicked people in their tribe? Can they tell me not one person in their tribe practices juju? Can they tell me not one female person in their tribe is involved in prostitution whether in Nigeria or abroad.
Infact I notice hatred for the edo's stem from the igbos the most. Which is weird considering igbos are located in the East while we are in the Midwest. And last I checked there were a sizeable amount of igbos living in edo state.
What aggravated me to write this post was that I just saw a comment on a video of 2 edo women on a bus, fighting a man that apparently played them both. A normal person would feel empathy for the women because they were both tricked. But what I saw from the Igbo man who commented was "hmm...Edo 4 sure...Useless tribe, any woman that married from that tribe her mother will disown her".

My edo people, it's high time we too advocate for our seccession. The disrespect on us is enough. We accomplished great things before Nigeria was created. While igbos were selling their own we did not sell our own. So what is bringing this disrespect? We edolites must think like the Yoruba's who put themselves first.
I'm sorry to say but I've come to hate all tribes in that country. No wonder whites say our IQ is 67.

Edo people should be wise. Just like the oba of Lagos said about Igbo people I wish the oba of Benin will say something similar so they can all move out of our state because I am seriously tired and irritated by them.
Since they are holy, let them go! Let Biafra go!

We should all go back to how things were before colonialism. My ancestors built a wall 16 times longer than the great Wall of china. Their houses incorporated fractal mathematics. They were the first to use Street lights in the world and their streets were said to be as clean as the best of Europe's.
There is something wrong with these people from the east and honestly I don't care anymore. If that makes me a tribalist then so be it. Ayamiri must go!

My man don't forget the Midwest invasion what the Biafra did to Edo state on their way to Ore. Edo fell in few hours and oba was forced to surrender.

As of oba of Lagos....Igbo dared him and he just blamed it on origin

Yes. Honestly we must dissolve this stupid forced marriage. I am a hundred percent sick and tired of them.
I am a proud edo man who is knowledgeable on his history. I feel bad that colonialism happened. If only the British did not include us in their Nigeria. Igbo riff raffss would still be living in trees.

I'm perfectly fine with my brain. Ada Igbo. I can't wait till you guys move out from my state. That's all. No need to even insult you. I've written letters to my governor asking him to chase out the vermins. You guys are already claiming delta as Igbo land.

Dont stop on your Governor, write donald trump also, and Russian President

[s]Please Google Midwest invasion that's all....Edo is a walkover anyway and Yoruba is a walk over again....They approached ore when Edo juts fell

The oba surrender.... This is the second time ..The first to British the second to Igbo

Now read

At 3 a.m. on August 9, 1967, a mobilized division of Biafran soldiers under General Victor Banjo crossed the River Niger Bridge at Onitsha and entered Asaba. When the Biafrans reached Agbor they split up, the Biafran 12th Battalion under Lt. Col. Festus Akagha began moving north-west to Benin City, the 18th Battalion under Major Humphrey Chukwuka made its way into the oil-rich Niger Delta, and the 13th Battalion under Col. Mike Inveso swung northwards towards Auchi. Benin City was captured with little opposition as Biafran soldiers fired their weapons into the air upon entering the city. The 13th Battalion established control over Auchi and Agenebode while also capturing the towns of Okene, Atani, and Iloshi, indiscriminately shooting civilians in the process. A Nigerian Army unit was pursued by Biafran soldiers to the Siluko River where the two sides exchanged fire, before the Nigerians managed to escape under the cover of darkness. Within 12 hours of the initial invasion the Biafran Army had control over the entire Mid-Western Region. Unbeknownst to General Banjo a unit of Biafran soldiers under Lt. Col. Oechi attacked the government residence of Mid-Western Region governor David Ejoor on the orders of President Odumegwu Ojukwu to capture Ejoor dead or alive, Ejoor's guards resisted the attacking Biafrans which gave Ejoor enough time to escape and flee to Lagos

Edo's were not meant to participate in the biafran war. Igbos came and attacked us out of nowhere. I read stories that our women were raped and men were killed. It pains me that these infidels are still in our lands. The oba should kick them out.

See their yeye flat heads. No history. If only their slave masters didn't bring them to Nigeria from Equatorial Guinea.

EDo Pple r simply not happy y they wea not included in the Biafra map... I can understand the pain of the thread poster... My P.A in the office is an Edo man, everyyime he will be telling me stories of how they r related somehow yo Igbo, how some of Igbo words r in Thr language, how there village help shelter igbos during the war and so other rabbles... I didn't realise wea he was driving at until he asked one day y is Edo not in Biafra map... Dt they r also Niger Delta... I laffed and told him simply dt they r not in the 15th century old Biafra map and apart from dt they r more culturally affiliated to Yoruba than the Republican Biafra with no history of oligarchy system... He was so bitter and saw my answer as not being worthy to exclude them... Since then he secretly kept antagonising any IPOB and Biafra news... The poster of this thread is simply not different from this my colleague, he is so bittered dt they r not including in the land of the rising sun... He shld jus go and wipe his snivelling nose with the back of his palms...
