THE SAME STORY, TWO WORLDVIEWS' ANALYSES FOR YOUR COMPARISON

Abrahamic/Middle Eastern Worldview:
Esau was born into a family which worships a loving God, but that loving God hates Esau even in the womb before the poor foetus could even commit any sin, but he loves Jacob despite his many acts of wicked frauds. Jacob could fraudulently get his father's blessing, and was able to build wealth, he later looked for his brother and asked for forgiveness for his wrongs. His brother wasn't poor either, he controls a city and has much wealth. Somehow, Jacob's father-in-law and children paid him back in his own fraudulent coins and caused him tears, towards the end of his life, Jacob regretted.

Yoruba/West Central African Worldview:
Esau selected the tough Ori in heaven while Jacob had the good Ori. Jacob, despite his good Ori went about duping people, but OLODÙMARÈ being a silent judge watched him, and kept putting fraudulent people on his ways too. His Father-in-law was the first to play a fast one on him, wasting seven years of his youthful life, and then his sons defrauded him by selling his favourite son and telling him an animal ate him, just like he swindled his father. At the end of the day, his good Ori was beclouded by his evil deeds, evil hearted humans kept coming his way, he suffered everything, the mourning of a son who isn't dead, famine, and grief in old age (Fulfilling the Ifá verse saying: Bí iwájú Ìkà bá dára, ẹ̀hìn Ìkà ò ní sunwọ̀n [If an evil person has a happy beginning, their end will never be a happy one). Esau on the other hand worked hard, and his good deeds (Evidenced by his easily forgiving a brother who would rather have him dead than give him some food) paved way for him, he muscled through the difficult path he divinely chose and built a nation, but Jacob died in a foreign land after famine forced him to undertake a long journey in harsh conditions from Canaan to Kemet (AKA. Egypt)

"Ẹni bá ní Orí ire, tí ò n'íwà ire, dàbí ẹni tí ń sin ẹdìyẹ n'ínú ọgbà a kọ̀lọ̀kọ̀lọ̀"

[He who has a good Ori but won't back it up with good characters is like one who rears chickens in a lair of foxes]
