Zik Zulu Okafor, is an award winning journalist and filmmaker whose films have been featured in international film festivals. His films Blood of the Orphan, Haunted, Face of a Liar, Fugitive and Danger were household movies in the late 90s.

His soap-opera, Heavensgate, was the winner of the Best Soap opera on Television at the Africa Television Audio-Visual Awards while the sequel Oasis was widely acclaimed.

He was the pioneer national president of the Guild of Movie Producers and later President, Association of Movie Producers.

Zik Zulu in the last decade has focused media and political consultancy, organizing workshops and seminars on diversified sectors of the economy.

Is there anything in your growing up days that prepared you for the path you later toed in your adult life?

One of the major problems of Nollywood is funding and recouping investment through effective film distribution—has that problem been solved?

You were the president of Association of Movie Practitioners for about five years, what’s the future for Nollywood.

If you were to change one thing in the country what would that be?

What’s the one thing you love about being a Nigerian?

If you were to start your career as a young filmmaker and journalist and you have all the knowledge that you have today, what will you do differently?
