Geofavor:

well done. Pls Ignore all these obviously frustrated posters saying who English help.

Now, everybody wants to get rich quick like efe. fools. It's very irritating what this country is turning into.

what they don't know is, most times, to earn you have to learn.

Actually, everybody wants to become a millionaire within 24 hrs through whichever means, yet no one wants to have even the basic knowledge. With the geometric rate at which this situation is growing, I doubt if in two decades, this country will be able to boast of 1milion professionals with the basic knowledge in their respective fields of practice. This may cause a serious dearth in the availability of human resources.

Just imagine, it is difficult to point a sec sch where ordinary WAEC exams are written without one form of malpractices or the other.

By the time these mercenaries are gone and the younger ones are not qualified to replace them, we shall see how it will look like.

ATE has two pronunciations- 'ETE' and 'HATE without H'. The former is British whie the latter is american.

That's why Nigeria is still backward, they carry grammar on their head like idiots,, English is not even Nigeria's mother language, that's why China will always be better than Nigeria, they love their mother tongue, it will be very difficult to see a Chinese forming English unless he/she needs it in a social situation, who grammar epp?
not mothers tongue indeed.

Its your type that give birth to kids and push them to school as early as 9 months of age. Why not move them to the village to learn "mothers tongue".
Why put them in English schools?

When you go for job interviews, dont go and speak grammar, when hunger wire u, u go know how far.

Good evening. Thanks a lot for viewing this thread.
Please i want you to advise me on my academic career.

I'm 19 years of age and I'm currently in HND 1 [Business Admin] and I wish to obtain BSc. Certificate after my HND Programmes.

My question, should I obtain:

i. JAMB immediately after my HND programme,
ii. Direct Entry Form after my HND programme
iii. PG.D form after my HND programme

ADVISE ME PLEASE
having successfully finished your HND programme, it is not necessary for you to go back and start all over through jamb or Direct entry..just Obtain a PG.D form and proceed with ur PG.D and from there to MBA prog. so that u will not waste your time all over again. going back from 100L or 200L in University, u will discover that there will be no diiference b/w what you have been thought in ND and HND. been a graduate at 19 is pretty cool and an advantage for u to achieve much before 25 and possibility thinking of getting married. u can as well enroll for international certification courses that relate to ur field.

Nice one op. Guilty of pronouncing ATE as ETE.. now I know better. The word MISCHIEVOUS too..
Re: Avoid Embarrassment: See Common Mistakes In English That Might Embarrass You by macherie1: 11:59am On Apr 10, 2017
Ate can be pronounced in both ways. The one the poster says is wrong is the UK pronunciation while the other is American English. Nigeria speaks British English which make the UK pronunciation more acceptable. Also, revert means reply in Indian English. Always double check before accepting grammatical corrections

I assume you're a guy, kindly look for a cash wash in your area and work there, the rain is coming back and people will definitely patronize cash wash, you can also wash cars in your church on Sundays most people will appreciate it because you're rendering a service to them rather than begging
