The alleged plot

The situation is becoming desperate. These guys are desperate and have realised that with VP around, the so-called agenda will not materialize. All they are doing politically is back firing. Some of the plot being contemplated to be executed around Christmas 24-26 December are as follows: They are looking at options:

Get OBJ to write VP a personal letter as a response to his recent speeches (such as Democracy at the Cross roads and interpret it as a clarion call to coup) to be leaked to the press and accuse him of coup plot. Hence, a ground is prepared with all this talk about security breaches of the ADC. Just as he did in the case of Audu Ogbeh and almost calling him a coup plotter.
Or use the so-called Mr. President Speaks in the NTA and level another charge just as he did on disloyalty. Then orchestrate series of campaigns that will weaken and alienate VP from the populace.
OR: 2. To combine military treachery ala Abacha against Diya. This time some group of officers will be sponsored to read a coup speech that will point to the VP as sponsor and they will be rounded up and interrogated, and the tribunal will be televised such that each of them will implicate VP. The new ADC is to facilitate planting of incriminating materials. This is to neutralise the effect of the last coup the VP foiled.
OR: Orchestrate arrest of some VP’s aides as planning a coup (i.e security breaches) in which case it will be difficult for VP to exonerate himself from the actions of his aides. Even former aides removed from the Villa like Isa, Oyovbaire, Mamah, Shehu, etc.
Thereafter:
2. They will mount political campaigns for the resignation of VP at different levels:
(a) The matter will be reviewed in the Senate and the House of Representatives and VP will be vilified as wanting to derail democracy, and calls for impeachment will start.
(b) The main man will address the nation expressing shock and calling for the defence of democracy, and justifying his disloyalty argument. (Speech is being drafted for this purpose)
(c) Groups will be sponsored to demonstrate in support of the main man and calling for tenure extension (already they are being created and getting prepared with written press statements)
(d) Groups will be sponsored to picket the National Assembly, delivering position papers calling them to impeach VP in the interest-of democracy.
(e) Top northerners in the Senate to spearhead the campaign in the Senate. The PDP to also join in the fray.
(f) Some Igbo legislators to spearhead campaign in the House of Representatives.
(g) The Military to take emergency orders in Abuja and restrict movement of VP as security risk, create enough confusion and generate so much heat as was done during the so-called FBI saga.
(h) Call emergency meeting of National Council of State and the governors. Instill fear in every body.
(i) Get retired soldiers to come out forcefully in support of OBJ, rally round in a show of solidarity.
(j) Get a trial to commence that will extend and divert attention, after which nothing will come out of it.
(k) Politicians will be blackmailed to come out in support of OBJ, or else they will be tagged as coup supporters, the aim to polarize the country into YOU ARE FOR US or AGAINST US just as it is happening now.
(l) Orchestrate solidarity visits to Aso Villa and many others as the situation demands.
Some intellectuals helping to craft a coup speech that will appeal to the nation for the phantom plotters to read: Col. Yakasai involved also? It will among others say:
(i). they are opposed to reform to alienate the international community and secure their support for tenure extension
(ii). they oppose the debt relief payment also to portray the plotters and their sponors as anti-West.
(iii). to reverse the deregulation of petroleum sector and privatization of NEPA to antagonise the USA.
(iv). to grant amnesty to Dariye, Alams and all those arrested by EFCC to present a case that VP is opposed to anti-corruption war. Also amnesty to Wabara, Osuji, etc. Already they are trying to plant stories to that effect in the London Economist and the Financial Times, etc.
(v). scrapping of due process, (ICPC, etc.
A retired general to organize the coup plotters and coach them. Two options. (a) Use ragtag soldiers of Adamawa origin and get sponsored agents to confess being approached; (b) use retired officers or (c) use phantom soldiers give them uniform allow them leeway to make some brisk move, put the country under tension only to later say that a coup sponsored by VP is crushed after prostrated battle.
First the coup will be tagged a Northern coup, as it will talk of power shift and make reference to all the meetings, the MDD, MRD, ACF etc. This is to mobilize the South against the VP. Then mobilize Afenifere and the South West and the South-South.
If possible introduce element of religion and generate enough heat and diversion. Then suspend all political activities under a so-called emergency and to be able to make thorough investigations. Spate of arrest of all opposition politicians, MDD etc, and few friends of government will ensue just to create diversion.
Also, some governors considered loyal will be figured out as having financed one operation or the other. Possible candidates. Adamawa, Lagos, Abia, Anambra, Delta etc. Possible effort to destabilize these states in the name of investigations.
Newspapers already mobilized to generate deceptive stories all over and swamp voice of defence, such as the VP on the run; key politicians go underground, etc. VP was involved because of Sadiq, loss of oil blocs, VP wanted to pre-empt to FBI report etc, and several lies to continue to deepen the confusion.
Recommendations:
Need to blow whistle on this plot and PRE-EMPT THE PLOT. Get political associates to talk, preferably fearless politicians that will talk and not retract their statements, get papers to write stories as investigations, buy pages and place adverts, consult widely on the appropriate response, etc. Let them for once be on the defensive. I will be briefing you from time to time as situation warrants.”

I think it's an ill-conceived article. We need to know:
1) Who "they" are - the people behind these so-called plots.
2) What exactly their goal is?
3) How exactly the VP has become a stumbling-block to their plans.

This article is very imaginative but doesn't appear to be grounded in reality. Or what do you think?

This is the script General Abacha used to hold Nigeria hostage and resulted in a jail sentence for the current President. It the current President does not recognize this script and falls prey to it, he only has himself to blame because we already know how the script ends.

Instead of this clock and dagger stuff, how about the President lay out verifiable charges against the Vice President (if there is any truth to what’s being alleged) at which point all available legal redress will be used to oust the Vice.

Silence in the face of injustice will bring no good omen, the President’s failure to address instability in his own cabinet shows that evil hands are at work and have been given license to operate.

The Vice President has done the right thing to calm the nation he administers that he has no hand in a Phantom coup. If anyone believes he does then they should state their case and do so quickly to quiet the swirling speculation.

The dark days of scheming people out of government should be behind us; these people are playing with the future peace and prosperity of Nigeria. In an unsettled environment real plotters are given the ingredients to ferment trouble.

My questions again:
- Who exactly are "they"?
- What exactly do "they" want?
- How exactly is the VP a stumbling block to "their" plans?

Without having answers to these fundamental questions, these allegations can't be taken more seriously than the story of Alice in Wonderland.

GOOD PR.
Well done.
More Palm Oil to your Armpit.
But I think these Questions should have been directed to ''BABA'' not me.

Well, the questions should be directed to the authors of that article. How can we go on and on about a 'plot' when we cannot answer these fundamental qustions about the nature of the plot?

If you care ,take them to Court on behalf of ''Baba''

''Alice in wonderland''?
That's your opinion
Doesn't sound logical to me though,
However, your opinion , matters less to the world at large
Please yourself.

I am of the strong opinion that, you probably read this article with a preconceived mind or dislike for the contributor, or with due respect, you read it out of context.
It looks to me that you do not understand the gist and better go through it once again before beating drums of war at nothing.
I think your prepositions to this article are rather more imaginative and out of touch with reality than the content of the article as alleged by you.
Else i forget who are the ''we'' that need to know........?
