The present 6 geo-politixal zone is a creation of Abacha administration, the worst administration in the history of our dear country. The zones were created without the consent of Nigerians and it was skewed along with LGA to favour the North. Take for example, Kano has 44 LGA while Lagos have about 22 LGA.
In the same vein people been lumped into a region or state they don't want to be and boundaries are also not consistent with ideal and history. For instance, Nigeria was formed on a tripod of N, W and E. You have created three regions out of North and three out of West and East. What it implies is the North is now 50% of the country. This is not consistent with amalgamation. Also, the N, used military power in collaboration with UK to give undue boundary advantage to the north. In geography, rivers are natural boundaries, and international rivers like Niger and Benue shouldn't be an exception. The arguments that North extends to Kwara and Kogi in SW geographical zone is nothing but an aberration, and if Atiku intends to consolidate all the historical mistakes and errors, let him know that it shall not be allowed to go uncontested. North is north the of Niger and Benue.

Lastly, the North Central will be addressed as middlebelt and not North Central.

The best leaders and projects were done during the regions, which reflected what should have been independent Black African nations of Arewa, Oduduwa, Biafra and Benin...Yet look at what Britain have successfully done, using quack young boys like Gowon and Danjuma to protect the resources so that the children of her majesty can enjoy while black "Ni.gger Areans" can suffer. I support the views of Obong Victor Attah who said the 36 states should be allowed in its current structure. But rather those so called unviable states that was created in large numbers by the past military government should exist based on their financial strength which means they should run their government even if it means that their governor and the other public officers have to use keke to get to their offices.

Restructuring is good and it is a good starting point for us as a nation. But our politician must be tamed by the masses who are the beneficiary of poverty caused by their action.

We must strongly demand for good life and good living as it occurs in other great nation like Australia, New Zealand, Uk, Canada, USA etc

I was in Kaduna and Kano some months ago. In Kaduna at the central area, you have some tall buildings mostly built in the 60s that depict the glory days of the city. In Kano, you have some wonderful buildings mostly built in the 60s. Then you have numerous warehouses in Bombay industrial layout also from the 60s that indicate that it thrived greatly in an era before this.

There are hardly any new quality buildings in these two cities for the last 40 years.

Isn't it a clear indication that regionalism favored the North and the oil has not benefited it in any way? Why then would its leaders be opposed to
