Top 10 Toughest Universities To Gain Admission In Nigeria (updated 2017) by youngscholar(m): 12:44pm On Jun 01, 2017
Some experts argue that there is no such thing as most difficult university to get admission into. Admission into any institution, they believe, may be easy or hard depending on the level of preparation on the side of applicants. This school of thought may be true elsewhere, but not in Nigeria. Down here, it is cheap to gain admission into some schools compared to a few others.

Below are the top 10 we believe to be the hardest Universities to get into in Nigeria.

This article is not to discourage those of prospective students that have chosen the under listed schools as their most preferred universities in JAMB.

It is however, a way to remind you that it’s
survival of the fittest!

The schools are;

1. University of Ibadan (UI)

And Number two is NOW a tie

2. Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) & University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN)
3. University of Benin (UNIBEN)
4.Federal University of Technology Owerri
(FUTO)
5. University of Lagos (UNILAG)
6. Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka (UNIZIK)
7. Ahmadu Bello University (ABU)
8. University of Calabar (UNICAL)
9. University of Ilorin (UNILORIN)
10. University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT)

What do you think about this guys? Which other school do you think should be on the list?

Bro no doubt ooo... I have first hand experiences of both...

UNILAG admits students based on merits sef, if you meet their cut-off, just wait for your admission letter unless if number of applicants is high and not everyone can be taken in..

But you see FUTO ehn, bro it's easier for a camel to pass through the needle's eye ooo...
If you like score 280 in jamb and pass the aggregate cutoff with over 20marks, bro if the gods of Obinze and Ihiagwa say they don't want you, you no dey go anywhere... cheesy Take it from me!

Sometimes I just sit back and wonder if futo actually offer admission via raffle draw! Cos people wey score 180 for jamb go dey school dey study all forms of engineering while those with high marks are at home picking beans and washing bitter-leaf! undecided
cant just stop laughing especially because of this ' i just sit back and wonder if futo actually offer admission via raffle draw '

Rotflmfao...
I noticed it too, last year's merit list had engineering courses filled with people scoring 182 and the likes. So chances of gaining admission is slim... Chai!

I have tayad for bloggers oo. In a different thread most of the schools here are listed among the schools that offer admission even to those who scored 150 in JAMB and now you are telling me that the same schools are the toughest to gain admission into.
Who do I believe?
Always get facts right before you publish, in order not to mislead these desperate kids.

You are very correct.
I know someone that had a very low score in Post UME, back then but still got admitted for Civil Engineering...

But some people got much higher, but were denied admission totally.

I think it has to do with corruption in the administration, "who know who"
