There are certain things that should be considered, does he come from a very religious background, is he mature(age wise), do you really know him( his associations,morals etc)it is important you consider these seriously because his attitude ain't normal. Anyway, there are two things I think is her boyfriend's problem;

Its either he's preventing her from seeing his other chicks or he is being possessive cos she mentioned that he doesn't allow her talk to his friends "insecurity issue"
