This is not a movie, a stage play or a novel…….but a true life story

On a cool Tuesday evening, I found out my mobile phone was missing while driving home from work. I halted the car and searched everywhere I could think of in the car. I went as far as the boot, and also ransacked my bag, all to no avail.
I got back inside my car, and I took some time to think about the last place I used the phone, but I just couldn’t remember a thing. It was like my memory went blank. I then decided head home, and when I got home, I used the house phone to call my missing mobile phone. It rang severally to my reprieve, but no one was answering. Somehow, I knew the phone must be somewhere. I just needed to think fast as to where, and when I last used the phone.

I drove back to where I packed my car earlier before close of work, checked the surroundings but didn’t find it. I tried calling again when I returned home, but this time the call wasn’t going through. So, my guess was that the battery must have run down or someone must have found it and turned it off.

In order not to bore you with my long story, I misplaced the phone on a Tuesday evening, but guess what. On Friday afternoon (3 days later), I got a message from a friend (a colleague) who knew about my missing phone, telling me to come around as someone found my phone and wants to give it back to me.

The guy who found my phone that Friday afternoon, was on his way out, and as he was about entering his car, he sighted a phone on top of his car. He said at first, he was thinking ‘who must have kept this phone here’, he looked around but he didn’t see anyone, picking up the phone he noticed the battery was dead, He charged it a little, switched it on, and called the last number on the phone which coincidentally is my friend’s number. My friend confirmed that the phone belonged to someone he knows (me), and that the phone has been missing for 3days. Apparently this guy’s car was parked beside mine that fateful Tuesday and I guess I must have dropped it on his car while trying to put some other stuffs into my car without remembering to pick it up

Now the Intriguing part………….………The phone has been on top of that car for 3 days while he drove everywhere, parked in several places and it was still intact…. I was shocked, and beyond words but grateful that I finally found my phone.
