Just concluded a research based on 'pretence in the field of 'Behavioural  Analysis in Forensics.
Data were collected from 60 subjects; 20 Arabs, 20 Hausa's and 20 Yoruba Muslims.

Evidence was that the Yoruba Muslims tend to be Liberal in virtually every topic, which in turn opposed the Islamic faith!

* They believe in white weddings, which is of course synonymous to the Christian faith.
* They see nothing wrong in following a friend to a church once in a while
* They see nothing wrong in using the Christian-like coffins which the 'real' Muslims opposes
* They drink heavily
* They believe the 'four wives thing' is obsolete
* They don't believe the Quran actually says they should kill anything who's not of the same faith as theirs.
* The covering of hair is optional for them
* They Believed in the Kingship and Son-ship of Jesus
* They are not fanatical and doesn't understand the extremism that comes with Islam

And a lot more which I shall be revealing later,

What do you think people? Are the Yoruba Muslims the real Muslims or just a bunch of hypocrites and copy-cats?

What are the reasons advanced
1: The Yoruba Muslims sing the Quran in a manner not worthy of Allah's attention (Fuji Music Style)
2: The Yoruba Muslims have un-islamic conventions like Alfa (Ritualist who use the Quran)

I have also wondered why they have seperate days to celebrate the same festival (usually Yourba Muslims do it one day before the Hausa Muslims)

So what is it that calls for such differences in a religion that claims singularity of purpose and beliefs

There are several other verses. Obviously Toba ignores them. Interpreting the verses of the Qur'an without a knowledge of their context, and
the "current affairs" of when they were revealed by Allah to his Prophet, is futile.

This happens because they (those who do things this way) are misinformed or mis-taught about the true precepts of the religion. But am sure (although I have less contact with Yoruba Muslims these days) things are changing here and there. Many are under-going palpable transformation.

Both hausa muslims and Yoruba muslims are one,They are under one big family called islam and nothing on earth can seperate them as being Muslims but i just want u all to know that your tribe and culture will always reflect in everytin u do

Forgive me sister. But you obviously got me very, very wrong. Please get some rest, cool down and return; and then re-read my words.

I am 100% a Hausa and a Muslim but believe me I never see downlook at Yoruba Muslims. They in fact fascinate me because of some reasons that comprise below:

1- they mostly live with non-Muslims, i.e. Christians in the South but they literally resist Satan urge to be like their neighbours.

2- many of them have a number of non-Muslims among their kith and kins yet they remain Muslims. WE've an example (s) on NL.

3- some (sorry to say few) hold their religion, i.e. Islam so seriously.
