I want to find out about the problem of tribe when people want to marry,my friend is down,my friend's family rejected her because she is not from calabar she is Igbo.

The family must be an uneducated one. Tribe is not really an issue these days.

Anyway, if the family refuses, I guess your friend should move on, else, he will be frustrated.

Nawa o, after dating for 3years family will just spoil show cos of tribe.
Tell your friend to stop being sad, down and move on with her life, the family don't deserve her, its not easy to move on but she can do it.

Maybe she should try dating an Igbo guy this time.

.

Three years and they didn't use style to talk about marriage and family requirements?

She never met the parents all this while?

I'm not sure what can be done now except the guy goes ahead and marries her to the detriment of the relationship with his family.

Its sad the distance tribalism has brought us.

She should have hav known if the familly accepts her or rejects her when they were at early stage.

Dont they visit the guys home?.
their reaction when they see her matters a lot.
And if u notice this things in early stages start withdrawing gradually.
To avoid stories that touch the heart.

I feel for he tho.. she should try and move on.
With time she will get over it.
Its better to move on than to force herself into the marriage that might harm her in future or even her life.
Some mother inlaws can be too extreem when they dont like u.
We ar too diabolical in this country.
Expecially those people.

Tell ur frind to move on.. u can help through in this hard times take her out always and.. stay around her.

The family your friend went to is one that has people with the neanderthal mentality living in the 21st century. If you ask them their reasons for disagreeing to the union it's usually based on stereotype. Are those the kind of people she would be dealing with?, people who don't know that the person their son was to get married to is who they should profile and not where she's from. What made them think their Tribe is any better?. Illiteracy is the root 'cause of this.

People do date for years without knowing themselves well, its when marriage talk enter, a lot will start to unfold. Hearts will start breaking.

Its good to know everything about the partner when relationship is still fresh to avoid stories that touches the heart.

The same reason I was a bit skeptical about an anambra girl I once dated

The thing is sometimes the family may have a reason or two for their stance but most times they are not good enough reasons

I think you can do one of two things here
Go against your family and go ahead with the marriage
Or bow to their pressure

Just know that there will be consequences any of decision you take and maybe rewards

Whoever created us humans made it so damn sure we would never unite as one....if is not race or colour...its tribe...or religion..or region..or country....sexual orientation nko.. .or politics....please don't even start on class/status/wealth.....now its masculinity vs feminism....its so fcvked up

There is something about being human DAT indicates eternal struggle with everything else which continues till u die...then after death u wonder what d fvck u came here to do in d 1st place....

I personally believe dat i was tricked into coming to Earth! I am more than an animal controlled by all these base emotions... I am so much more than what this world has to offer....Because there are other worlds out there...n DAT is where my destiny lies!!

The day I realised all these was d day I became Luminouz d Alien! N am never going back.....
