Martinique,Guadaloupe(caribbean region),French Guiana(South America),Mayotte(Africa-part of the Comoros island group that opted to remain with France),the French Polynesia(Tahiti and the rest) are some of France's many overseas territories. Lest I forget Iles Crozet or Crozet Island (in the South Atlantic). They are indeed spread out.

I love this thread. True. Egypt has always been there but there are several others vying for that same position #oldest sovereign State who might not be as old as Egypt but have stronger claims than that of Egypt. The likes of Japan(661 BC or so),China(3rd century BC),Ethiopia/Axum/Abyssinia and San Marino(about the oldest in Europe). Truth is this issue will always remain a controversial one.

Roads made of coral – Guam

Because Guam doesn’t have any natural sand, but rather coral, the island nation makes its asphalt using a mix of ground coral and oil rather than importing sand from abroad.
I wonder when Nigerians will be innovative like this instead of just importing

And lastly. Most people behind bars – United States

When it comes to incarcerating its population, the United States is the world’s uncontested leader. With 2.2 million people behind bars it has 5% of the world’s population but 25% of the world’s incarcerated population. China comes in second place at 1.5 million and Russia comes third at 870,000.

Not surprise

Most overweight population – Nauru

With over 95% of its population being overweight, the small island nation of Nauru is by far the fattest country on Earth. Its obesity epidemic is primarily attributed to the importation of western fast food that coincided with an increased standard of living in the 20th century due to the global popularity of its phosphate exports. It’s almost non sequitur…almost.
Interestingly to note, Nauru is also one of the smallest nation in the world if not the smallest. Many TOWNS(And yes i meant it) in Nigeria are far bigger than it, some higher institution in Nigeria self is bigger than the country. And if i remember correctly, their population is just made up of a few hundreds or thousand so taking their percentage and naming it the most obsessed nation is far fetch, They may actually be the most obsessed people percentage wise, but they are definitely more fat people in even the smallest LGA in Nigeria or say Zamfara or Yobe state than this Nauru. One can easily jog round this island nation without breaking a sweat.

Thanks!
I checked online and it's says "San Marino". Up to now, it has 1716 unbroken sovereign years.

Ethiopia is oldest African sovereign state.
