lukman: $2billon?? At this point i have to ask if you are normal. Do you know what $2billion is? I understand that everybody wants to have an opinion these days about everything, but you shouldn't say things that aren't true. And didn't you read the news about NEMA officials in Benue sharing relief items?? Now to the OP, i wonder why you are waiting for celebrities, do your own little contribution If you are genuinely worried about them. 1 Like |

We all "wanna identify with the Yankees": Makes us feel cool. #PrayForHouston trends,we jump on it. But I tell you all one thing: I care less about the outside world and their problems these days, whether India,S/Leone,Houston-humanity be hanged. Not many outside care about us,so why should we lavish the little care we have on them? The earlier we start focusing solely on our own problems, the better for us. Bleep that crap about being "a member of the comity of nations". Our problems are there too. Let's face them. Afterall how much have we gotten for all the men and money wasted in the decolonization struggles and peace-keeping missions in Africa? This is how I feel. Nice write-up. 1 Like |

PotatoSalad: It's not about casting blames about what was done BEFORE disaster. It's about the response AFTER disaster. |

Y wont there b flood in Benue wen we keep
enthroning incompetent leaders, ppl who clearly
cant define Ecology let alone make judicious use
of d ecological fund allocated to dem. I think its
about time ppl get sensitized on this things, their
importance and perceived detriment if not taken
seriously or given d utmost attention. |

truth to told... Africans and most especially Nigerians lack compassion we lack love and care for one another.... I thank God we are seeing it more clearly.... no wonder someone will embezzle money meant for a whole village or community and he will watch how the community suffers.. Africans and Nigerians needs prayer... Later you will hear Tonto dike jim iyke tuface MI and the rest will say they have foundations what does the foundation do ? |

I once made a comment about this on the thread that carried the news of the ozubulu homicide. It's too bad we live in a society where popularity, attention, power and wealth rules humanity. This, sadly, is the culture of our present day Nigeria. Every body wants to be rich and attain fame at any/every cost. Something just tells me that these folks have no control over their asslicking syndrome - it flows subconsciously out of them, otherwise, give me a reason why they suddenly become so blind/ deaf/ dumb when similar occurrences are experienced here. Selective humanity is no humanity. |
