Nigeria leader unlikely to resume office immediately ABUJA, Feb 24 (Reuters) - Nigerian President Umaru Yar'Adua has returned from Saudi Arabia but is unlikely to immediately resume office, a presidential adviser said on Wednesday. "He is here, he landed this morning," Emmanuel Egbogah, presidential adviser on petroleum matters, told Reuters on the sidelines of an industry conference. Asked if Yar'Adua would immediately take over executive powers, he said: "Doubtful". Lets wait and see what happens at todays FEC meeting. Yar Adua will not be there. Mamora (minority leader) has already told Gbenga Aruleba that fit people do not need ambulances. Now the govt and Nigerians can finally have full access to Yar Adua. |

Not exactly sure why a man who does 25mins excersize every morning and runs up the stairs of King Faisal hospital needed an air and land ambulance to return to Nigeria. |

Its a bit strange that all the FEC hawks are out of the country and Yar Adua returns? There are a lot of calculations and intrigue, plus there are reports that the Obama (sahara reporters) is behind Yar Adua's return, so that our issue's can be transparently resolved. The US has gelled with Jonathan and sent a very powerful representation, just last week. . . .We be watching. |

let's relax, time will tell. Before today's evening, we should have a clear picture. At least he can no longer hide. |

~Bluetooth: Thinking about it again, the FEC meeting is unlikely to hold today. Matters sorrounding Yar Adua's exact state of health are more important, like you suggested, Jonathan is most likely with Yar Adua at this time (I doubt they are meeting though, a man who arrived in an ambulance isn't exactly meeting ready). |

I doubt Yarasick is capable of holding any meeting with anybody. Most likely Turai will be calling for meetings But it will be a shame if any of Jonathan, David Mark and Bankole gives her an attention other than sympathy for her husband state of health. There is no constitutional provision for the office of the 1st lady. So in the eye of the law, she is non existence and she should from now be treated so. |

right from the word go, yar'adua was not fit to rule. now add multiple organ failure, bucket-loads of steroids, days in coma, 3-month absence, unconfirmed reports of brain-damage/death, ah ah! the list goes on. his brand is DAMAGED beyond jankara restoration. whoever is handling him and tossing him about, STOP this madness. |
