Accept it, spend one year and move on.

That is if you think you can cope

I always have passion for software development and am managing with a Hub in Abuja taking 45k, I relocated my family and not up-to 3months to Abuja with this pending when a better offer comes, hubby is a very understanding type and knows wifey is a career person. Now, Dangote Academy GETS (graduate Engineers Training scheme) gave me an offer 80k monthly at obajana kogi State. Is it worth taking the offer? Or I should be positive and remain in Abuja considering my family, who knows the kind of experience or skills I would get from the Dangote academy GETS? I want to weigh and compare both. Help me pls. God bless you

Considering job security I'll say don't accept the Dangote offer. Stick with the 45k job in Abuja and hope they'll improve upon it with a raise or start looking for better opportunities within your current location.

Who says you can't find better paying jobs in the field of your passion. Perhaps you've not been seriously looking for better options. I believe there should be better offers around your current location. Just intensify your search and you'll find them.

Don't go for the GETS option that will take you away from your family and still may not guarantee what you're looking for in a Career.

My own 2cents.

For the dangote job, they will retain you after a year? Is it guarantee? If yes go for if no stay in Abuja.

Being Married negates all other rules and maybes, this is family, your own family. Stick with the 45k job in Abuja with your family and trust me new windows would open, job openings are spontaneous you should know that by now, don't scatter your family with your own hands cuz that's priceless than any job on earth.

You wouldn't say what your hubby is doing? I mean if he would just up and join you to Abuja for a 45k job then it says a lot. if you mentioned in your post that he was also unemployed and seeking help could come either way. Just thinking though.

Are children involved? Instability can affect them. Career or not. I recently left a 6 figure paying job with official car because I was transferred to Lagos and my baby/ Husband is in Ibadan. The only problem is how to handle it without having regrets. If not taking the 80k job will come back to haunt you, I'll advise you do. However, as someone said above, is d 80k permanent. Will d boo relocate again?
