I'm quite confused here oo. I invited a Muslim brother to my church and he gave me a condition: Following him to his mosque.

He says "if you want me to embrace your religion, you have to do the same with mine".

there's no point going to his mosque, preach to him and let the Holy Spirit do the finishing work on him.. We are saved by grace and not by works.

Be careful.

follow him to mosque to do what? it won't change anything, but if you are invited to go and preach in the mosque, then you can go with him which I doubt it.
tell him about Jesus and how He died to save him. And that it is only believing in Jesus He can be saved. do that and follow up on him. The Holy spirit is the one who convicts

I understand you very well. Unfortunately some of our pastors caused the problem you found yourself in...they equate evangelism with bringing people to church.

Evangelsim is You the believer sharing your knowledge and experience of your relationship with Jesus Christ and inviting the person to experience the same and the benefit.

Preaching involves
Showing a person that
1. All are guilty of the crime of sin
2. The penalty for sin is eternal damnation
3. No one can free himself from the consequence of sin
4. God so much love humans that he prepared a sacrificial substitute for our punishment
5. We each have a responsibility of accepting or rejecting Gods gift
6. If you accept Gods gift through faith, your name is written in the register of heaven, you become a child of God, you are empowered to have victory over Satan
7. The one who does this is Born Again and he is expected to do the duty of Preaching, Loving his neighbour and serving God with his spiritual gifts and talents.

That is the message you should preach. Our Sunday services usually at best stirs up emotion without bringing conviction.

In other words, you havebdone nothing by asking a Muslim to follow you to church. Pastors are to Shepherd the believers You are to do the work of evangelism.

To preach to a Muslim, you first have to understand what you believe. Some key issues are Trinity, Death, Salvation, etc Then, understand Islam the differences , the quran, hadith and the way Muslim reasons. You don't need to be an expert but you need to understand the way a Muslim has been programmed to a point of shut down of reason.
