Trio arrested over vandalism spree
100 homes targeted last weekend
They say they did it 'to make the news'
FLORIDA police arrested three men who vandalised 100 homes in an attempt to make it onto a news programs.
Aaron Dennis Green, 21, and two 17-year-old boys were arrested for spray painting over 100 homes in Hillsborough County last weekend, MyFox National reported.

When asked why they did it, police said the men "wanted to get on the news", Tampa Bay Online reported.

Before police arrested them, the suspects saw the graffiti story on the news and were getting their stories straight with one another. Authorities found the men all together at one of the their homes.

Mr Green and the two teenagers vandalised property since September.

"They would step it up every time to get more notoriety," sheriff's lieutenant Michael Willette said.

The last vandalism incident involved graffiti of racial slurs and swastikas spray painted on houses' garages
