As the saying goes,If you don't make plans, you plan to fail.Read and learn something new today.
-Dont study very hard, study wisely:Try to know and predict what each of your lecturers want.Different lecturers have different levels to approach their questions.
-Don't be too proud:Most of the people making most empty noise in your class are bound to go back to their shelves once your first result is pasted.Mark my word and give me feedbacks later.
-Make friends,do not isolate yourself from your course mates-The university system is not like secondary school where you can be on your own and still pass.No man is an island. You might not really understand a concept, you can meet your course mates for a better explanation. You don't know who might cover you up in case of you missing lectures.
-Always be punctual in class:Some key points are better absolved in class and you understand them more when you read than missing class and borrowing notes. When you borrow notes,it is very difficult to link up ideas. You can miss class except if the situation on ground is inevitable
-Always endeavour to sit in front:Back benchers make the most noise.Girls at the back bench are mostly concerned on how to take selfies. Most boys at the back row trow unnecessary comments. No matter how the people in front want to disturb, they always have this fear of the lecturers seeing them.
-Have a target for straight "A" in your courses."A" grade has an ability of catapulting you to a very good result especially in a 3 credit load course.Even if you can't make the "A" you might end up with a "B" which is still very good.
-Always try to read ahead of the lecturers:When you read ahead of a lecturer, you end up understanding more.Even if you do not completely understand, once the lecturers explain the difficult concepts, you can easily link up the ideas because they are not new to you.
-Do not challenge your lecturers: Even if a lecturer is wrong in giving out a certain explanation, tell him politely.Don't try to challenge him.If you try this, you might not end up graduating with your mates.
-Forget about exam malpractice-Weather carrying incriminating materials to writing exams for people.Don't try it because if you are caught, you would be treated like a hardened criminal. That path is never advisable.Always remember that because everyone is doing it does not mean you should do it too.Read,at least you would pass.
-Don't ever listen to that crap that says carry over is for students:I never knew the damage carry over creates until I saw my people battling with it.Just imagine a carry over exam or test clashing with your core course.Listen to every detail,it is important.
-As a guy,do not force any friendship with any of your female coursemates:She might take you for granted and cause a distraction to your studies.Just study hard and pass your exams well, success comes with a lot of friendships.Nobody wants to hang around a loser. This one is for all this boys running after their course mates trying to prove a point that is not existing.Pass excellently, there is a magic that comes with excellence. But don't end up doing the chop and clean mouth when she comes back for your help, some chop might stain your teeth's.Be warned because anything free, might be dangerous.
-Always study past questions-Most lecturers prefer to repeat questions. This is also applicable to Gst courses. It is one magic that worked for me in my one hundred level days. Thanks to Mr Upuu Charles and
Desmond from library and information science department b.s.u chapter.
-Always eat good diet.Do not face your books too much and forget your food.If you don't eat food, you would eat medicine as food.
-Make the library your very good friend-I don't mean going there to sleep, charge your phones and your laptop.I mean make the library a friend for reading and research. Most of the time you spend at the parks in school, you can channel and make the time productive by studying in the library.
-Know the time which you read and understand weather early in the morning or late in the night.Know what works for your body system.
-Last but not the least, follow God with all your heart. When God is your number one, there are so many things he guides you away from. There are so many troubles and battles he wipes away for you.Do not take this point for granted because this factor has helped me a lot. With this last point, there are so many activities that don't give me joy anymore. So it is very difficult to be caught up at the wrong place.God is my guider today and I adore him.
You are free to add up your own points too.
Don't end up learning things the hard way like me.Don't get burnt twice.shout out to St Joseph's science and technical college. The school and the teachers did a great job.Now am getting better by the day.BonezizaBonez #Kuhe
