New PayTV operator, Telecom Satellite Television, TSTV, weekend, disclosed that it would commence commercial roll-out of its decoders to Nigeria by November 1, 2017.

Addressing newsmen in Abuja, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the company, Mr. Bright Echefu, said the company would from Monday, deploy about 5,000 decoders to customers for free, and would also be installed for the customers to enable them test the reception, services and claims of the company.

He explained that the delay in the commercial deployment of decoders to customers was to prevent sabotage by unscrupulous elements who would want to frustrate the company.

He said, “We have not commenced commercial sales of our decoders because we are aware of the fact that we are running a business easily frustrated by competition.

“We had applications from over 3,000 individuals who want to be our dealers, so far we have cleared about 750 of the dealers. We are currently conducting due diligence checks on our dealers. We do not want a situation where individuals posing as dealers buy up our decoders and go dump them somewhere.”

He said within the next two weeks, the verification and full accreditation of dealers would be completed and the decoders would be rolled out.

Typical Nigerian business character.

It took TSTV 7 days to announce this after all the enthusiasm by potential customers.

So where those ones come see the pictures of the sports station that was placed on the other thread.
One major issue with Nigeria business is the lackadaisical way they handle things, while the media hype that it will start October 1 when they are yet to put things in place fully. If the business fails the company killed it themselves because I know a lot of people that are eager and have almost developed hypertension because of how and where to purchase the decoder. I hope they will not give excuse again when they finally start operations on why some stations or the extra data are missing .
I pray they succeed even if it is just to break the monopoly in that sector.

Hmm

Not really that we are interested in their decoders but we all want DSTV to go,they are really giving us hard time.

*The way they remove important stations is annoying

*They are not from Nigeria and they want to milk us dry so that they can head back to their golden land after feeding them

*If you noticed they love showing their leagues and hardly show ours

*Not everyone can buy yeye explorer and still pay token after buying to pause programmes

*DSTV scanning is annoying

*Rain must not fall when watching,we are in problem

*Not pay as you view with this unstable electricity of ours

*Sport guide when you press ok is no longer active for Nigerians
