The most expensive footballer in the world, Neymar Jnr, has joined former Barcelona teammates Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez on the list of nominees for Ballon d'Or 2017.  Antoine Griezmann, Harry Kane, Sadio Mane, Philippe Coutinho and goal-keeping duo Gianluigi Buffon and David de Gea are other big names on the list.

The past nine editions of the prestigious award have been won by Ronaldo and Messi.

Ronaldo, who is favorite to win this year's edition and finally equal Messi's tally is conspicuously absent from the list released so far.

The French organizers of the award had announced their decision to stagger the release of the much anticipated list through out Monday, October 9th. So far, 25 of the 30  names expected on the list have been released.

I think a Kevin Debruyne,Dzeko,Benzema should not be on the list ahead of Alexis Sanchez,considering club and country performance Sanchez is way ahead of those guys.
