But well I have been in a similar situation. I'm suggesting you do what I did. Its of course, extremely difficult (happened years ago and I still miss the idiot lol) but its necessary. That "love of your life" (again, not talking about you) obviously does not feel thesame well enough to leave their current partner. If they were the love of your life, they'd be with you; not someone else.

I think the perfect description of yours is that the love of your life is in love with someone else. You believe one should simply move on because the feeling from the other party does not mirror yours. I feel you.
This is the love of your life we're talking about here. I would think it would be too intense to simply let go of . . . even moving on would be difficult. Moreover, if you get involved with someone else while your heart lies with another, you would be doing yourself a disservice, by living in misery while knowing that your happiness is with another.

My answer, he/she become an "ex"

before i start to think of a guy as the love of my life we would have gotten very close, and the feeling would be mutual. if a guy leaves me at that stage for another woman, i would assume i am not what he wants. i would move on from that relationship, though it may take a while before i go into another. i dont believe in holding onto a guy who wants to be with someone else, i expect to be loved as much as i love.
