beautyoftheLord: Foolish. They 've to deduct bail out money given to them by the fg remember its a loan and will be deducted from source that is why osun gets the least. |

I'm provoked to curse Baba kabiru this morning, for plunging my dear home (state of origin) into indebtedness. In spite of the FG's effort at raising Osun allocation, we are still taking the least allocation (1.6b). Right now, many lives and homes are faced with life-threatening challenges because of the Ebira impostor claiming to be Yoruba. May Aregbe never know peace and may all the wealth he stole from osun state in the name of needless projects, turn to sources of sorrow for him and his family. 1 Like |

Net Allocation for September 2017 Delta =N14,226,599,712.95 Akwa Ibom =N12,947,920,495.19 Rivers =N=12,458,897,649.55 Bayelsa =N10,887,663,196.75 A glance at September allocations for the states above, yet they still blame the federal government for their leaders' abysmal failures. What have they done with these monies? Personal gratifications 7 Likes 1 Share |

obailala:we have leadership issues as well structural.. we need to address both and see nigeria move forward.. the leaders all over nigeria would all steal..only the right structure would monitor their uselessness .. if I remember well the Niger delta wealth has been in the pockets of the north and probably the southwest before militancy and agitations got us these high allocations.. the Niger delta was played a fast one right from the start.. 1 Like 2 Shares |

What a miserable country, sharing money like a father Christmas when all hands should be on deck and be producing something of worth. Cursed nation that will remain worthless till the end of time because of useless rulers! Bayelsa is still as poor as Gambia if not worse. Portharcourt is still filled with shanties. skull mining is now the most lucrative business in the waste. Only Lagos region is getting all the investments. Tens of Millions of people are still roaming about in the North; destitute, illiterate and diseased! Easterners are leaving the country by all means even if it means to push drugs! Is this how a country is supposed to be run Tufiakwa!!! 7 Likes 3 Shares |

In a restructured Nigeria, Osun will be making at least what Delta is taking home as federal allocation. Nonsense! 1 Like 1 Share |

Truckpusher: Now you are talking. Give them resource control and watch them become mega monsters, shutting down any internal opposition with just a twitch of the finger. Guys, I've read comments, u guys should not forget that it was the proceeds of agriculture (groundnut pyramids and cocoa) that were extracted and reinvested in building refineries. The profits from oil were never reinvested in agriculture. Please go and read from history. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Cjrane2:I don't know what extra hidden information you are still looking for. You want to see where Kano, kaduna or Lagos have higher allocation than Bayelsa, Delta, Akwa Ibom or Rivers State? You can never see that even if not a single kobo was deducted from the source. You know why? 13% derivation for the Niger Delta states is not a small amount of money, it makes all the difference between them and other states. 13% derivation is roughly equal to what all the 36 states of the federation share monthly. There is just so much stealing, looting and diversion in the Niger Delta states. So much money but no accountability. Yet, their people believe that the problem is not enough money when the real problem is mismanagement. Oyo state received 4 billion naira, Akwa Ibom state received 12 billion naira. Did you know that Akwa Ibom is more indebted than Oyo state? And Oyo state is bigger than Akwa Ibom in terms of population? 4 Likes 1 Share |

Izonpikin:Yeah, it's always been the elite against the people. If only these real enemies can be focused on for just once, a lot of problems would be automatically solved across Nigeria; cos it isnt just a Niger Delta problem, it's a national issue. It's always amusing when people maintain the argument that the problem is from 'the other tribe', thus energy that should be spent calling for accountability from leaders is spent blaming and chasing 'other tribes'. The only way a secession or restructure can help this very issue of rogue political elite is that when there isnt any other tribe to blame, the huge scales would eventually fall off the eyes of the people in different zones for them to see what/who the problem has really been all along. 4 Likes 1 Share |
