parse_pair() isn't an inbuilt function, sorry for sharing an incomplete program.... i didn't notice that because it's actually part of a larger codebase so everything just executed fine after compiling.

What does parse_pair() do?
It parses the first argument as a "coordinate pair, like `100x100` or `5.0,6.5` "

It's return type is none or null based on if the first argument parses correctly and

 Some((left, right)) 

if otherwise.

I shared the code snippet with Jim, January last year (2016) in a book he said was teaching programming in Rust... I never got feedback on the book's launch so I guess it hasn't been launched yet.

@seunthomas you said you'll get back to me "the next morning", i haven't gotten any response about the challenge or task (as i'd prefer to call it), i'm guessing you're not chanced due to work... #onelove brah.

Yeah yeah, I may have jumped the gun by getting it from a previously existing program which I wrote... I just thought I'd share it directly and it'll pass not knowing the post existed somewhere else apart from a book that was meant to be published early last year.

@seunthomas, now let me school you on how some books are written at some platforms like O'Reilly, Apress, Packet Publishing e.t.c.... Sometimes the author may decide to lessen the workload by outsourcing a good amount of code snippets to developers that are interested in helping then makes the exercises in the book openly available on Github or Bitbucket because it was a collaborative effort...that's you see some books are paid but the exercises are free to download.. (This is not true in every case)..and sometimes it's through questions on stack overflow...post code and it may appear anywhere, I have no control of that and I'm tired of the false accusation and looking guilty.. It's just code after all right?...so please @seunthomas, just complete my very little challenge and then you can have the chance to throw me a tough punch in Rust. I'm not good enough in Rust...just a hobbyist but I'd prove you wrong if I can.

Edit: I just saw the book by Jim... Programming Rust or something like that, google it... But it doesn't look complete as I guessed..

We got talking for a bit but that's it.. You guys are giving me impressions that you're racist.. I haven't seen where a black person acts racist to a fellow black cuz... Can't I contribute to a white man's work?.... I'm sure if it was Seun Ayinla's work (popular Nigerian WP developer) I contributed too I won't hear noise..

The only way we will have any real challenges here is when people are original.
I can appreciate some attempts at solving questions here. Though some of them got the solutions wrong or not totally correct, their efforts show they are real programmers...

I threw a small punch and you couldn't defend now you're forming Paquiao here after bragging you'd come up with a solution early in the morning after few hours of learning the language..
