As a good citizen, I am expected to abide by the law and pay my tax.

All over my streets are churches/ mosques with Bill boards and threats of hell if I dont live my life according to a fairy tale.

I am in a bus, a preacher is standing with mouth odour screaming words from a fairy tale to my ears....

I work the whole week, stressed out and its a Friday night. I am trying to catch my rest from a long week but churches are drumming and singing in the middle of the night causing noise pollution...

It's a Sunday, i haven't had a good night rest due to noise pollution caused by vigils done over the weekends, I try to drive to a garden to ease out some stress but there are road blocks everywhere by churches causing heavy traffics...

I went back home, switched on my tv and a clown in suit is threatening me to pay 10% of my income otherwise I live a miserable life.

I switched off the tv, tried to sleep and there is a knock on my door...Guess who, they are here again with their threats and false promises...
here to teach me how to live my life..Get the hell out!!!!

A superman fairy tale entertains me, but your fairy tale is a thorn in the flesh...

Bible users disturb people in any country they are if allowed. They set speakers everywhere, disturbing the neighbourhood day and night. They make noises in buses, cry madly on the streets at the dawn of every day. They do crazy stunts that cause traffic jams. They blow trumpets of illusionary hell fire about and tell the people that their saviour is coming without a specific date. Eventually, their generations get wiped off for other generations to exist, but their fictitious hero never came, still their noises persist.
Any sane country would ban the book causing such confusion.

A fairy tale is an imaginary story about magical beings generally written for children. When an atheist calls the Bible a fairy tale, that is precisely how they see it, an imaginary story about magical beings written for intellectual children. The only differentiable factor is the age of the audience; I mean, come on, the Bible includes witches, spirits, talking animals, magic fruit, virgin birth and unicorns... there's a whole lot of crossover there with your standard fairy tale

Anyone can engage in sophistry and paralogism and such a one is permitted to do so owing to man's moral agency. You could as well be an atheist, philosopher or theosophist, it is within the purview of the moral code God has given to man . But one thing is sure, the words of the bible are the thoughts of God conveyed expressly to man for his wellbeing. They are eternal words that inject eternal life into man's spirit and fills the lacuna that is found in man. It is the answer to man's problem and without it man is doomed. It provides the panacea to man's pathos. You could as well choose to treat the bible as a chattel or a plaything but that does not strip it of the eternal truth it contains. Lies run sprints; truth runs marathon. Buy the truth and sell it not.

It simple because the Devil have blind folded their heart not to accept the truth. The Holy Bible is the best book any one could ever read on the planet earth. Is the only book set people free from the bondages and lies of Satan.

If you read all the whole book on earth and you haven't read the Holy Bible and Believe the Truth in it. Such person is still missing the great treasure on earth.

John 8:32,36 KJV
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. [36] If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

You will know the Truth about the Son of God and it will make you free.

John 3:16 KJV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

That is just the Truth and Jesus Christ that Truth.

John 14:6 KJV
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

You see those county know the truth but they didn't want to accept the truth because of their wrong falsely believe or religion

And you need to know and believe in the truth written in the Holy Scripture (the Bible). This is the only way you can be Free from deceived nations that rejected the Holy Bible.

The Holy Bible is God spoken word

Acts 2:4 â–ºAnd they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance

It the Only truth spoken word of God and it give hope, directions and they Spirit and life word of God.

John 6:63 KJV
It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

It give wisdoms, knowledges and Understanding every area of your life.

It cleanses as well. Just as the Mighty precious Blood of Jesus.

It tell us more about Jesus Christ.

No atheist aren't angry at your imaginary God. Your are ONLY emotionally wired to your religion and your see everything emotionally, hence all your response to criticism are emotional response. When an atheist questions your belief or criticizes it, all you see it as an atheist "fighting your God" instead of seeing it as an atheist questioning your emotionally held beliefs.

But you on the other hand always try to criticize and condem the beliefs of others to promote yours. When they speak your language back at you then they are "fighting God".

You label criticism as "fighting God" because it makes you feel special and makes you feel that you are serving the right God when in reality it is nothing but emotional response to criticism.

It's something religious people love doing. It is called persecution complex. Example when you are criticize Islam, the average muslims will tell you that you are fighting Allah and forcing yourself to be the enemy of your creator. He won't respond to the points you've raised but will simply use that emotional response to end all conversation. You are no different from the muslims. That's all what you guys do. You use persecution complex to make yourself feel special in your bubble of delusions.

How many countries have you been to and you saw people doing the s.t.u.p.i.d/nonsense acts that some of my fellow nigerian christians do? I've seen it clearly, that it is the useless and garbage attitude of some so called christians, that is affecting many of you that are not christians. But be aware that it is not all christians that do those nonsense acts and it's mostly in african countries that you see such things-in fact, Nigeria is still excellent, you should go and see what they are doing in some other african countries. The summary is that, it apears people now use christianity and church as a cover for, and a platform to perpetrate, their stupidity, ignorance and other atrocities.

But you guys should learn to look beyond the nonsense ones among us. #FACT#.

It has quickly been filled up with people venting their bitterness against The Bible and God. This speaks volumes about the 'reason' and 'logic' some folks claim to follow. The first reasonable question should have been, "why was the Bible banned in those countries? " Not all sorts of bile and needless rants that have as much relevance to the topic as the railers have in a religious section/thread!

Olaadegbu and his backwards logic. Sometimes posts like this make me wonder if u wear your shoe as a hat.

So the proof of realism of a book is in the amount of restriction to the access of that book, right? That means that all the fictional books banned throughout history contain real accounts because they were banned at one place or another.

When will we stop having stupid arguments like this on Nairaland?

When you begin by telling lies like the OP then you shouldn't expect any one to take you seriously.
Firstly the bible isn't banned in 52 countries. Infact the bible is only FULLY banned in only about 6 countries in the world.

In the other countries there are only restrictions to bible usage. For example you will need government approval before you print, distribute and share the bible around. But if it is for personal usage at home you won't need any government approval. Christian apologist and their lie lie persecution complex will say that the bible is banned in such countries when it is not. It is the restrictions placed on attempts to convert people that Christain apologist tag as banning the bible when in reality it is NOT. Christians will want to spread their religion and it's propaganda on people , when they meet resistence they begin to cry.

From Qora it says that:

"The Gideons International have a list of countries where they are not allowed to operate:

Afghanistan, Algeria, China (People's Republic), Comoros, Djibouti, Iran, Iraq, Libya, Maldives, Mauritania, Morocco, North Korea, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Tunisia, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Yemen".

But even with that other bible societies are allowed to operate in some of these countries, bible societies like the Catholic bible society are allowed to operate in some of the countries. So it is a lie that the bible is banned in 52 countries.

There are many reasons why most of the countries will NOT want their citizens to convert to christianity.

If you look at how christianity was speared it was done through conquest mostly back in the days and christian nations will NOT tolerate other religions. See what christians did to the Jews in the past and other minority European religions.

Even in the bible, there are stories about God telling people never to worship other Gods and injunctions were passed tellibg peopple even kill members of their families if they entice then to worship other Gods.
