Let me correct you. In the military, there are different designations. Cooks, doctors, shoe makers, drivers, fighters, etc. They are all trained to fight. In all operations, they deploy all designations needed. But they all wear uniforms and carry guns.

Nawa. It is better to read than to write sometimes. Every military outfit in the world has an inhouse medical institution called the medical corps. They form part of every structure from the company level upwards and move with the troops into battle. From the front lines where first aid is given by trained first responders to the rear guard where field hospitals with trained trauma surgeons are located the soldier is expected no less a response than in a civilian setting. Some militaries are equiped with both ambulances and medivac aircraft. What you see in the pictures are first responders. By the way the Nigerian military have some of the best medical personel, equipment and facilities in Nigeria. I know this first hand and have related with a number of them over the years both serving and retired.

Ever heard of medical soldiers? Some are trained doctors, nurses and surgeons...they don't stress themselves to fight or shoot. They wait to treat the wounded ones.
