I'm considering going for an IT certification and I will like to know from the experienced ones in the house which IT course is currently having a good job prospect in Nigeria.

Though as a graduate of mechanical engineering, I've been considering going for engineering design courses like Autodesk, PDMS, etc. But do these courses currently have good job prospect?
I don't mind deviating from engineering courses if others will get me a good job.
Help a brother, I will like to know your views on this.

Nevertheless, there are Lots of them with great prospect. One thing you should note is that ICT isn't background dependent, so you can fit in anywhere regardless of your background (Either arts or science)

For the list of courses, I will say that the following courses are forever green.

Website Design/Development
Mobile App Development
Digital Marketing - My primary field
Networking - My secondary field.

These are the ones I can recommend, following my research on them.

Funny enough, within the last few months, it seems as if Digital Marketing has taken the top spot.

BTW, I am also from an Engineering Background (Electrical/Electronics) precisely.

The truth is that companies are looking out for those who breath and smell digital marketing. Gaining an online certification isn't all in all. This means that you might have little or no experience.

There are two things involved.

1) start up your own project, and gain on hands experience.

2) Work for no pay (Internships)

To achieve the later, there are several firms in Lagos that are willing to employ you as an intern for no pay.

Most of them are on the Island of Lagos, but you gotta search out for em.
