Job Position: Renewables Engineer
Reports to: Managing Director/CEO
Overall Responsibility: To oversee technical sales, maintenance and monitoring of solar and off-grid projects, ensuring the completion of installation of all solar/renewables systems.
Industry Experience: Building/Construction/ Electricity/Renewable Energy

Responsibilities
Design and scale solar/renewables solutions sizes ranging from Solar Home Systems (50w) up to utility scale systems (50MW and above).
 Execute installation of solar equipment and off-grid systems.
 Conduct routine inspections and ensuring that system is operating up to full efficiency.
 Layout and assembly of solar modules/array and mounting hardware.
 Mechanical/structural mounting of racks, modules and electrical equipment.
 Electrical wiring of solar arrays/systems (AC and DC).
 Complete documentation and report of installations.
 Communicate with customers in a professional, considerate and respectful manner, answering all
questions and complaints.
 Installation of all rack grounding and DC wiring.
 Install and collection of modules per plan.
 Maintain high levels of quality assurance and quality control with an emphasis on safety.
 Putting together inventory for each installation job.
 Coordinate visits to sites and tracking time on installation and repairs.
 Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Education and Skills
BSc in Electrical Engineering or similar disciplineSkills/Competence
 Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, delegate and carry team members along.
 Experience in Building/ Electricity Industry.
 Excellent customer service skills required.
 Previous Solar installation experience highly recommended.
 Good knowledge of inverter-string/central and DC electrical systems.
 Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite.
 Possess strong ability to quick-start and is detailed oriented until completion.
 Report adequately on job concerns.
 Must be able to work both alone and within a team.
 Must be willing and able to climb ladders, stairs and work on rooftops for long hours.
