The Ag. President Goodluck Jonathan has approved the request for an additional release of funds from the Foreign Excess Crude Account (FECA) to supplement the traditional monthly statutory and VAT allocations to the tiers of government in Nigeria in the Month of March 2010. The Economic Confidential magazine can authoritatively reveal that out of $4,873,379,964.92 oil producing states received the highest with Akwa Ibom taking $239mn, Rivers $220mn, Delta $211mn and Bayelsa $107mn. The lowest recipients are non-oil producing states which include Ebonyi $39mn, Nasarawa $$40.6mn, Gombe 40.7mn and Ekiti $41.3mn.

The figure is separate from the combined statutory and VAT disbursements of N383bn within the same month.

The details of the entire distribution from the Excess Crude Account to FG, states and their local governments are indicated in the table below:
