Depends on the school and the level of the teacher.
For secondary schools, is it private, state owned or Federal government owned.
Some private secondary schools pay as low as 30,000 while others pay as high as 100,000 average.
For beginners in state owned or federal owned schools, it can be as high as 75,000 naira.
Vice principals are paid on the average 160,000 naira while Principals can get as much as 300,000 with a personal car attached and other allowances.
The teaching profession is very lucrative if you are working for the state or federal government because there's chance for growth and you also have time for yourself to do other businesses.

For University Lecturers, also this depends on level and the School
Graduate assistant get on the average 120,000 naira.
Lecturer 1 get on the average 200,000 naira plus other allowances.
Senior Lecturers can earn up to 350,000 naira.
Professors earn from 500,000 naira. Some can earn up to 1 million. Don't forget that there are other sources of money for this people.
