kudos to drogba, but i have a small problem with this awards: is it given based on current perception of the player or the performances over the last yr/season?

because if it is given over the last season (05/06) then Eto'o deserves to win in my opinion, but if its current performance, then didier takes it

I think Drogba deserves it and kudos to CAF I thinkit is when the award does not go to our favourite player that we complain of CAF/Hayatou bias for me most award given are deserved.

I'm the least surprised that Drogba came out tops. Methinks it's gonna be Essien next or better still Drogba again. It's not the best, since Mustapha Hadji, only strikers end up receiving the award. I dont support that.
