This is an example. You can get hints from this.
Goodluck.

*MANIFESTO OF SUSTAINABILITY 2018 – SUSTAINING THE LEGACIES*

```“If we look at the state of our planet, the next generations won’t be around if we consider sustainability as a gimmick.”```
*I am Ogbonnaya, Uchechukwu Nnamdi A.K.A UCHMAN*, a 300 level student of the department of Guidance and Counseling in this great faculty (Education). It is pertinent to emphasize that a time like this demands strong minds, great heart, and ready hands, men whom the lust of office does not kill, men whom the spoil of office cannot buy, men who will not lie, men who can stand as a demagogue and illuminate the path to progress, men with sustainable ideas, tall men, sun crowned, who live above the fog in public duty and in private thinking. Ever articulate educators, I am not a left – wing person, I am just a person interested in the sustenance of good legacies that transcends to benefit generations to come.
In the light of the above, I present our agenda tagged *SUSTAINABILITY 2018* to you. Our plans are well slated and stated and they will take care of the socio – educative longing of Educators.
They are embedded in the following:
✔ ACADEMICS
✔ WELFARE
✔ UNITING EDUCATORS
✔ SPORTS
✔ HARMONIOUS RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHER ARMS
 *ACADEMICS*
In order to foster academic excellence, we present the following programmes:
1. *Conducive learning environment*:
♦ Air Conditioners
♦ Fan
♦ Public Address System
*Clashing classes:*
I will work with the office of academic and welfare director and the sub – dean
Undergraduate to ensure that the issue of clashing classes is reduced if not completely eradicated before the commencement of each semester and the problem of having multiple exams in a day reduced as well.
2. Funding of our literary and debating society. If elected by the Grace of God, I will work with the academic and welfare director to ensure that this society is funded and given all the necessary support they will need. The week should not be only social programmes. Hence, the need for more academic and intellectual programmes aside the personality lecture, such as debate, quiz, among others.
3. To solicit for prompt release and pasting of our results as well as ensuring that our transcripts in all our departments are given to us in order to facilitate high academic performance by Educators and to prepare them for the semester ahead.
4. On a final note on academics, it is pertinent to sustain and maintain the two (2) weeks examination period. If elected by His grace, we will ensure that our examination periods remain two (2) weeks.
 *WELFARE*
The welfare of Educators must be considered paramount. Hence, if elected, we will ensure the improvement of Educators' welfare and this will be done in the following ways:
1. Reinforcement and motivation to educators who have proven themselves to be outstanding in academics, sports, among others and those who have represented the faculty well.
2. Rendering assistance and guidance to educators especially freshmen, on how to go about their course form registration and informing them on the importance of registering on time.
3. Educative Cum social fresher’s orientation programme for the fresh educators.
4. To organize a seminar and symposium: This seminar will be basically for final year and penultimate students on how best they can prepare for life after school and on ways to write Curriculum Vitae (CV) and how to answer questions during interviews in both private and public organizations. On the symposium, this is a programme that will be centered on pressing issues in the educational sectors, and Nigeria in general.
5. Exposure of students to work study scheme at the student’s affairs department, University of Ibadan, this will also be done with follow up.
6. Sustenance of inclusion of our JAJA registration number in our NUESA ID CARDS.
7. *Package:* Improvement on the package that will be given to educators and timely production of these packages.
8. Repairing or fixing of sockets in our lecture rooms. During my service in NUESA as the financial secretary, I observed that most educators do bring their gadgets to the faculty to charge and most times when they come, they don’t usually have enough space to charge. If elected by God’s grace, I will work with the faculty management to ensure that some non – functioning sockets are fixed. Not only this, Educators will be properly educated on the need to keep their properties well during examination and classes and to be security conscious.
9. *Meet your executives:* This will be done at least 2 times in a semester and the purpose will be to discuss salient issues bothering Educators and receive complaints and suggestions.
 *UNITING EDUCATORS*
Unity cannot be overemphasized in nation building, in our bid to ensure unity among educators, By His Grace if elected following programmes will be enhanced:
1. *Educators Day out /Picnic:*
We will ensure that at the end of first semester, educators (fresh and stale) will embark on a picnic or day out.
2. *CONNECTING WITH THE ALUMNI*: this will motivate educators that there's a great future ahead of them.
3. *SUSTENANCE OF THE INTERACTIVE SESSION WITH THE DEAN OF THE FACULTY*: This will enable Educators to voice out their ordeal, opinions and needs to the faculty management.
Working with other faculty presidents to engage in a peaceful discussion with the school management for the resuscitation of our dear union among other important issues on campus after which we will collectively throw full support for our potential aspirant(s) at the students’ union level.
 *SPORTS*
1. Ensuring diversified sporting activities in order to accommodate other Educators who are good at other sports aside football alone. Other sports include Swimming, Handball e.t.c.
 *HARMONIOUS RELATIONSHIP WIH OTHER ARMS.*
It should be noted that the Central Executive Council (CEC), Faculty Judicial Council (FJC) and Faculty Legislative Council (FLC) are the arms of NUESA, so, smooth relationship among them will foster unity and progress of the association and since I have decided to sustain and maintain the progress of the association, I found it important to ensure harmonious relationship with these arms in the following ways:
1. To work harmoniously with the Faculty Legislative Council towards organizing legislative summit/visit to state House of Assembly.
2. To work with the Faculty Judicial Council to ensure they have judicial summit and also visit to state High Court. To ensure the timely inauguration of the FJC as well.
3. Working with the faculty press towards organizing symposium and seminar on campus journalism and the prospects of being a campus journalist. Not only this, if elected, NUESA press will be funded to go on visit to media houses they may consider suitable.
 *_By the special grace of God if elected, other areas which our administration hope to try to achieve are:_*
1. *NUESA BUS*
2. *NESCAFE/INDOMIE STAND/SHED*
```On a final note, no matter how or where we stand today, it is irrefutable and incontrovertible that we are in need of great improvement. Even the most developed nations crave for development, despite already being a global bench mark. My promise to you is that a vote for me is a vote in the right direction. I plan to sustain good legacies and also lay down sustainable legacies.```

```I solemnly offer to serve, and I leave you all with this quote by Stephen A. Brennen, "Our goals can only be reached through the vehicle of a plan, in which we must fervently believe, and upon which we must vigorously act." ```
*VOTE OGBONNAYA, UCHECHUKWU NNAMDI (UCHMAN)*
*as*
*NUESA PRESIDENT*
*SURPORT SUSTAINABILITY AGENDA*
_Sustaining the legacy is our collectively responsibility…._
Long live University of Ibadan
Long live Faculty of Education
Long Live NUESA
Thank you and God bless you.
