There is a whole lot of practice of spiritism in South West Nigeria which the new generation should start speaking up against before it gets out of hand.

These practices are dangerous and we should condemn it vigorously.
I am Yoruba and I agree with you.

Fake prophet or even ritualist. He should be interrogated by the authorities.

These practices are dangerous and we should condemn it vigorously.

This is partly why we've kept saying the PFN & CAN movement's utterly selfish, partisan, non-strategic and shameful past dalliances with the thieving political class was a disservice to God, Christendom & the society as a whole!

While jostling for relevance at the Villa and various State Houses across the country, they ended up validating too many scoundrels, rogues and ill-mannered, planless celebrity-idiots.

The contemporary questions of repositioning the church to face present-day challenges, documenting, filtering and harmonizing what should constitute the main ecclesiastical body of Christian beliefs, providing overseeing and regulatory functions as backed by constitution of common consensus but no, they lost sight of that and gave room for the rise of our own brand of just about every kind of charlatanism and spiritist foolishness on the planet here in this poverty-ridden country!

This Spiritism wave seems here to stay until something drastic is done about it.

Hatred of the Yoruba tribe is going to kill you Igbos, and it will not add a iota of anything positive to your bitter lives.

It's noteworthy to mention that even though you Igbo people have been living with this bitterness since 1967 or thereabout, those of you who constitute the hate squad on Nairaland were not even born until after the war, yet you got your full share of it with your mothers' milk.

And guess what? If you people allow history to repeat itself and you overreach yourselves again Nzeogwu-style, your assës will get whipped in a worse manner, because the odds are even stacked higher against you guys than in the sixties!

Alaye stop digressing and bringing stunted reasoning to this matter.

Why be say majority of Yoruba Christians especially Cele and yoloba Muslims eg d Alfas, always combine fetishness in their religion? Either they are doing sacrifice at bar beach, of u see them drop sacrifice at a junction or they go head hunting, burying such in front of their churches or mosques?

Drinking of alcohol was never condemned by the Bible rather drunkenness!

Now, would you prefer a fetish yoloba Christian to an Igbo alcohol drinking Christian?

Be truthful to yourself.

CAUGHT?! Why would they catch him? Abi do you people mean seen? What is wrong with bathing a grown man who is dirty?!

Some of you do not know that a lot of the things these so called prophets or spiritualists do are simple natural things that have positive effects.

Imagine a grown man comes to him and says "Prophet, every woman I meet, immediately I try to get close to her, she tells me to go away or she leaves". As he's saying this, the prophet notices a very unhygienic smell around the guy.

What the prophet will do is to tell the man to buy a white goat, 2 white chickens, a bottle of palm oil, 10 yards of white cloth, and N20,000 (all these are the consultancy fee). The prophet will now secretly 2 Dudu Osun Soap, mix it with 1 Tura Soap and 1 Tetmosol Soap, then grind it together into one huge ball. When the client comes, the prophet will collect the goat, chickens, cloth, palm oil, money, and cloth, then proceed to recite some incantations on the soap which he will use a little peice to bathe his client thoroughly with traditional sponge. Wash his stinking armpits, his smelly groin, back of his ears, his navel, between his butt cheeks, his neck, everywhere.

The remaining bulk of the soap will then be handed over to the client with very strict instructions to use it everyday at exactly 6am and 12 midnight, after which he will begin to attract women, and any woman he gets close to will also get close to him.

If after 2 weeks, nothing changes, the prophet will move to administering a brand of chewing stick made of a special wood which can only be found in the evil forest. This is how these people solve simple problems, so I don't see why the prophet should be caught. Rather, the report should be that the prophet was SEEN performing his prophetic duties.

God bless you!

You mean CAN should be serving as a regulatory body and overseeing the activities of the churches the way NUC is to universities?

Are you saying if I want to start a church, I must seek an approval from CAN and become its member, the way every legal practitioners in Nigeria is to NBA?

You more than wrong!

You don't know the reasons why CAN was formed and its objectives, in the first instance.

Some people are so deluded in this life. Before you agreed to do do that, why can't you ask yourself this question; why is he that he does rituals to people but he is still poor. Why can't he make himself rich and keep all the secret to himself.

Why can't a barber barb himself?

Why can't a food seller keep d food in her house and eat it alone?

Why can't d doctor stay at home and be treating himself?

My point is, not everything is easy or free. Spiritual things are deadly. I've had enough experience to know that. So the prophet knows the price of those things and would not do it to himself neither did he force anyone to do it. They go to him on their own accord.

A prophet once told me he can't loose his child when I asked him to do an immortality jazz for me. Obviously the prophet is legit. I've done so many stuff with him. And has helped me survive in life. So for him to turn me down on that. Obviously it works but there is a price. Life for life.

Now I ask, why didn't the prophet give himself immortality? It's simple.. He can't loose his kid. Neither could I loose my own child so I walked away in peace.

So my friend, spiritual things are real. Demons are real, powers are real, just that the fake full everywhere. Those who have the original, have it.
