Catholic church will not give you unless you have a communion card, but outside Nigeria Europe for example, holy communion is like pure water, wherever mass is celebrated, anyone can join the line and have it, only we Africans turn things on our heads.

You're a big lier. I don't know what youths of these days derive from tanishing the image of God in the name of civilization or thinking they're wise.

I am an Anglican and in the history of Anglican Church, there's never and till now there's nothing like a card for Holy Communion nor not receiving holy Communion because you're talking member.
I you really attended an Anglican Church today which I know you didn't, (maybe someone was telling a story which you didn't get properly and rush here to claim you were the one who attended), you would hear when the vicar will announce that the holy Communion is for Anglicans who have been confirmed, for Methodists and for those from Roman Catholic who have been admitted into the Anglican Communion, nothing else. Nobody mandates you to wear white shirt also. If you were turned back then it must be(for ladies) improper dressing or lipstick.

So OP stop bringing fire upon your head by lieing against the church of God thinking you're brave.

I am Anglican from birth and still practice Anglicanism till tomorrow. Never heard about this but i may say that such parish dont know you and as you know its not right for someone not confirmed in the Anglican way to take the Holy Communion. And most likely its a parish not in town, maybe in a village. So it is likely is that parish's decision to prevent some people whom they are not sure are confirmed Anglicans in taking part in the Holy Communion

Last Sunday, i wasn't given the communion at first Mass, i was so furious and embarrassed. I said to my self; does this man want to hinder my blessing? He no reach, then i went to the evening Mass and had double. grin

One thing I have come to understand about churches is that, whoever abides to their doctrines is tamed a righteous person and will make it to heaven but whoever does not is unrighteous and will make it to hell. This is why hypocrites are on the rise. Emancipate yourself from religious slavery.

OP to start with, are you a Communicant? I'm an Anglican, tbh I have never experienced anything like this before. The criteria to receive Holy Communion in Anglican Communion is that you must be a Communicant. Conversely, some local churches have a Holy Communion class before Sunday service which is a criterion for receiving Communion.

For me, whenever I leave my local church I don't go for communion to avoid what Op just experienced, it could be embarrassing.....buried your head in shame, everyone looking at you.

To receive Holy Communion in the Anglican Church, you have to undergo Confirmation. After that, you can receive Holy Communion in any Anglican Church.
It may be that this Church is just trying to minimize wastage or they are strict and want to be sure that the prospective Communicants are actually qualified.
