Today, march 9 th 2007 , in RING ROAD area of BENIN CITY soldiers numbered about 10 stormed the police station in ring road and started beating dangerously and mercilessly policemen. I made attempts to take pictures with my digital camera but it was too risky,
I later heard part of the police station was burnt.
Unfortunatetly and disgracefully for me , i was in company of my colleague ( an european) . I had tried tried all week to concince this guy that NIGERIA is not as BAD as it was painted to him when he was coming for the PROJECT we are working on,

how do we stop this disgraceful act,

my brother,

the distance between me and the scene was less than 50 meters. If those military guys had seen the camera, I am sure i will not be writing on the internet right now,

Why were the soldiers beating the policemen? I know if a policeman was friendly with the wife of any soldier, that would be a good reason to burn the station. Please some one show us a link of this story.

Thats absolute nonsense angry.Thats no justified reason for the army to burn down a police station. wink If the army's wife was stolen, theres the court to go to.

Soldiers are supposed to kill for a living, so of course they will misbehave from time to time and do things like this. sad

Sometimes The Police Deserve These Beatings. Sometimes we Need A Bigger Force to Check the Excesses of the Police.

I Think The Nigerian Military Plays this Role Well. More Oil To Their Rifles. I Hate the Police.

Its My Candid Opinion. And This Is Nairaland. angry wink
