Hi all, I'm a student from Federal polytechnic Oko. I'm doing a research for my project on why Jean wears are rarely sewn in Nigeria so I need your help.
1) What are the reasons for most Jean wears being imported? Capital, skills or stigma.
2) Is there a factory/firm that produces Jean wears in Nigeria and it's location for face to face research, thanks.

Pls epp a friend.

Because we lack the basic requirements for running such factories. No steady power supply, raw materials etc.

Bro thanks for your contribution. Do you mean there's not a single firm that produces it, as in buy the jean materials, sew, design and sell in large quantities.

Please reply.

Sewing is different from production. We used to have textile industry that were into production from scratch by using cotton as raw material. Having a an industry sewing those fabrics is a different thing entirely. Hope you are getting my point.

Like I mentioned earlier, the cost of sewing in the country may be to high due to lack of infrastructure.
