@all d Gurus: Nice thread you guys have going here because i was actually thinking about my modem being put to more use. I need a little more help though, I already downloaded the huawei unlocker you put up and the code writer but I use the Multilinks version which also has a sim card slot. Now i dont know if it takes a GSM or CDMA sim card and also if i can unlock the modem for use on GSM networks when i want and switch back to the multilinks as well. I really dont want to be off the multilinks network permanently.

The problem i realize with many of you, you cant even say thank you after being helped. It pays more than even money. ui think i will now start charging for people to stay away! Great job and a wonderful sense of concerns for others! Keep it up. However, I'd like to know if there's any need to connect my Modem to the PC and launch it during the installation of this Software?

most USB modems are plug and play. you must launch the software, or instal the driver and rename the .exe file to stop it from always poping up the launcher.

Many thanks to you DC. Within 3 minutes I was able to download Huawei Unlocker and generate my Unlock Code and Flash Code.

you can only get 3G network on zain modem while using mtn sim on it if and only if the zain sim is a 3G sim.

there r different types of modem. the zain modem u have is an EDGE modem so n70 which has 3G function would surely be better of.
there is no way of upgrading it

glo modem might not work on ur modem or ur glo sim may not be activated yet,
dont bother aboy=ut the flash code,
read the first page of the thread to the solution of ur last question

yes u need to insert ur modem into ur system to unlock it,
it will pop up a msg n a box but if it doesnt, it means u dont need to unlock, r u ok?

i v not gotten such problem before but i think it has to do with the mtn fast link itself and also u know the sim must be activated to the exact apn u try using?
