You overburden them for nothing! You have seen their wrongs but have you seen yours? They are one of the most committed groups in chirch who don't get any credit only condemnation such as this. Do you know how many times they are in church for rehearsals in a week? Plus the mandatory 2 or 3 times they must be in church to play music you all dance to. Who remembers them? Do they have time for other things when all their time is spent in church. Playing for free. I hear in COZA they are paid, with that they can meet their normal needs and concentrate on their ministrations. Please don't condemn them when you have not provided adequately. |

praiseneofingz: My pastor is a good example, he doesn't allow me get up from the keyboard when message is going on, he sometimes bursts into one short song or the other during his sermons and I must be sharp and ready to find his key and play to perfection.... And trust me, he so enjoys it when I give him some soft tunes during his sermons!! 2 Likes |

Rockstar07: I play the keyboard and the guitar and I get paid in full. For me, playing is a job that I must get paid for in full. If pastors earn, why shouldn't I? I am a very spiritual person (I hate religiosity) and so I attend churches to play the piano or guitar and not to listen to perverted gospel. |

aAK1: People won't see this side. They will only condemn every instrumentalist. I know some choir masters who are also their church's main instrumentalist and they are committed. There are pastors who flow more with soft music in the background during sermon. Nobody should say it is unscriptural. Elisha asked for a musician when he needed to prophesy and when the minstrel began to play, the spirit came upon him.(2kings 3:14-16) David also drove away evil spirits from Saul through his harp. Music is a very powerful tool for ministration so rather than criticise all instrumentalists why not encourage them to always exercise themselves in the spirit in order to be able to invite the tangible presence of God through their instruments whenever they play during church services 6 Likes |

No they are immune to the pastorpreneur's gimmicks. They don't respond to alter call, they don't fall under annointing. They are just too much. |

Re: Mike Bamiloye Exposes Church Instrumentalists by brosammy(m): 2:22pm On Apr 01, 2018 |
You are absolutely right, not only you has observed it. Sir one thing is that this days a lot of people goes to church for various reason aside to meet with God: some went their to met their girlfriend/boyfriend, some came to charge phone, some came to collect money and some came for meriment so you will agree with me that such people will not concentrate or gain any thing in church, so it isn't only the instrumentalist that do that today in the church but the instrumentalists are always find in the front that was the reason why their own case can be observed quickly. May God save this our generation who take things of the spirit for granted 1 Like |

This is quite true, instrumentalists always behave like anything, they will sleep, chat And browse during sermon. I have only seen two different Scenarios. Then in Secondary school when one of our teachers came to preach, Mr Ayo he will chase all the instrumentalists into the congregation making them to listen to a particular extent. And the RCCG Youth church I attend presently, Kings Court Ikere, immediately it's time for the sermon, all instrumentalists leave their instruments, they are regarded as ministers too, no room for yamayama Modified* Likewise Some instrumentalists are spirit filled, playing their instruments always calls for the hand of God. An instrumentalist once played that the spirit of God fell upon him himself but the instruments continued playing itself. The Angels of God took charge of the instruments Note: the notes that were played weren't recorded, the congregation that day was charged with God's presence. |
Re: Mike Bamiloye Exposes Church Instrumentalists by Nobody: 4:07pm On Apr 01, 2018 |
whats his beef with musicians in church, if the holy brothers and sisters dont want to learn how to play, then the church must hire people, most of these folks arent born again but i can say they are dedicated to their task. problem is many of these folks are unappreciated and treated as scum by the church leaders. |
