Buhari VS Nigeria's young population

"More than 60 percent of the population is below 30, a lot of them haven’t been to school and they are claiming that Nigeria is an oil producing country, therefore, they should sit and do nothing, and get housing, healthcare, education for free.” this were the exact words of Muhammadu Buhari in Westminster, London.

Prior to these remarks, he (Buhari) had been asked a question by a fellow who wondered why Nigeria pulled out of Continental Free Trade Area (CFTA), When Nigeria was leading the negotiation and had even vied for the Secretariat. In his words " I wish to know your own stakes now that 44 countries have commissioned to the Free Trade Area
Without Nigeria, what are your expectations, what is your vision for a common market on the continent? thank you". (Obasanjo had earlier slamed Buhari for not signing the Africa free trade deal.)

Mr Buhari (as I like to call him) began by exposing his massive trust issues. He collected the microphone and tried to put it on, the host assuredly told him it was on, he obviously did not believe the lady and went on to still try to put on an already on microphone, then he hit it twice kpa kpa to be sure that it was sending some signal. He then began to speak as he said all questions he had been asked were about Nigeria's preparedness to accept investment and secure more like sequiwa the confidence of investors.

Baba hadn't gone up to 2mins into his reply, when he declared in the Madagascan King Julian style to all the Lemurs, "you all are uneducated and lazy".

Minutes went by and Uncle Femi Adesina defender of the undefendable rose up like Mort the kisser of King Julian's feet to say that all and a lot were different things. First of all Femi, do you know that Buhari is president because a lot of Nigerians not all Nigerians Voted him to power? In a democracy a lot is all Period.

I don't even want to go start telling you how he, Buhari's answers to the question asked was unmatched and incoherent. This was the same thing that happened when he made the 97/5% remark in America when he newly became president.

Some time ago the government of Abia state sent 30 young artisans to China for training in their various crafts. These 30 people were the first batch of 100 other young people that would be trained in China courtesy of the government of Abia state. Let us assume the a lot of Abian youths ( who are also Nigerians) are lazy, the government identified 100 hard working Abians and equipped them to do better business. That's how a leader responds. He doesn't go about talking without thinking, he looks for Windows of opportunity and capitalises on it. Buhari missed a great chance to market the huge human capital that exists in Nigeria he goofed.

Lastly a man who calls his daughters prostitutes in the market square should not expect suitors to troop into his house.
