The truth is that we joke a lot in this country. everything that happens in Nigeria is taken as a joke and people keep doing it.
Everyone knows that most affordable tokunbo vehicle sold in this forum has one issue or the other, most times boiled down to accident and repairs.
I read a lot of argument for and against declaring the status of the car by dealers before sale and i have come to conclude that; UNTIL A DEALER IS TAKEN TO COURT AND COMPELLED TO PAY HUGE SUM OF MONEY AS COMPENSATION BASED ON HIS MISREPRESENTATION OF THE STATUS OF A CAR HE SOLD WHICH IS A CRIME, then others will learn from it.
What people are asking for is to simply to indicate if a car has been in accident or not and the extent of the accident so that buyers will be aware.
It is a CRIME against God and human to buy a roll over car with deployed airbags,rolled back odometer and advertise it as an accident free car.
Imagine what would have been the case if there are no means to verify the status of a vehicle bought especially in the USA for sale.
Let us hold our dealer accountable to transparency and honesty in doing business. Our Lawyers in this forum should take up some of this cases of misrepresentation and try to make a fortune out of it, because that is the only we we cake take redress and learn.
