Pertaining to how long it can last depends on the load, but for two led/LCD TV 4 fans 8 energy saving bulbs it can do 10 hours plus.

The capacity of inverter you need is been determined by the amount of load you want to put on it, if you need to power your led tv, one fan and two bulbs 1kva inverter and a 200ah battery is good for this purpose and it can power them for 12hrs plus
